Do you do a part-time job too while studying Japanese in Kyoto? I'm from Thailand and studying in Nara-prefecture now. 😂 Kinda regret a little bit since I come with contract of study to be nursing care worker but found out that it don't suit my style.

I only went to language school and did not work part time! But I can imagine that it is really hard to work and go to language school. :( I hope it will become better for you soon!! :)

I am glad I could help! We just booked the cruise on that day, but you can also do it online. I heard it is recommended to do that in high season. Have fun!!:)

Spent 6 weeks camping at the foot of Mt.Fuji . There was an Japanese Army base that we did our winter military training . Wasn't to bad but we had all our needs met courtesy of the US Govt . our employer . Not much around Fuji at the time as it wasn't yet inundated with tourists like today. We just took the train into a large city if we had a couple of days free. After the training exercise we would sail back to our home base on Okinawa. Found the Japanese to be very polite (of course) and the folks living around Mt.Fuji seemed to be used to our visits with a passing curiosity of seeing American Marines . No Go Pro footage but great photos of Fuji and Tokyo etc.. But then again this was in 1971 . 😝 High adventure as long as there was no shooting.😉
