Could you just use some big pliers and yank it out?

I did my 2008 Vulcan 900 like this but I used a pilot bit and 1/2 “bit for the 8 holes , then I got a rod like 3 1/2 foot long and small sledge and stuck it all the way into each pipe and knocked off the screens inside , they stay in there fyi, you get a way better beautiful rumbling sound especially with acceleration
@gerardogarza3645Ай бұрын
I used a dremel and cut off wheels to cut smaller pipes flush

Why all this surgery. It takes a few screws removed to debaffle Harley. Mustve been the same genious that thought self canceling signal and 4 ways were too much work.
@ShadowWolf-zw2dv3 ай бұрын
It may be surgery but I'll take this over a harley any day and before you say it's my fault I'm broke I'm not broke I just don't care to pay for a name and only a name I can have a nice motorcycle for less and still have plenty of spending money
@GoneMudden5 ай бұрын
I think I would have drilled bigger holes in baffle before doing all that work.

Love the ape hangers on your 900. What’s the size and where did you get them?
@josesanabria78336 ай бұрын
I tried that and now the baffles are inside the exhaust and i cant remove them bc they are stuck inside. Do I need to remove the whole exhaust now?

GD right they are! Just wish they kept producing the bigger cc engines.

WTF, is with the loud music and caput camera angle?
@juans3728 Жыл бұрын
Why did you drill out the baffle completely it would have given a better sound. There wasn't anything wrong with what you did but the baffle is still inside the pipes. Peace.

I just finished both stage 1 and 2. It sounds sooooooo much better. Pretty loud, I love it. That’s for making this video.

I bought mine debaffled and this video is great for me, since i am reversing the process. now I can see how the inside tube was all in.

I did this and I have fueling problems now and it is also much louder then people say
@ronsmith4325 Жыл бұрын
Naw man... just buy some pipes. This doesn't sound right at all. I hear air whooshing through those little holes you drilled more than the rumble of the bike, and that's just at idle.

Well done Lama Biker. Followed your video to the “T” on my 2009 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 custom & sound is AMAZING! No impact to performance whatsoever. If your thinking about stage 2 de-baffle, don’t think twice. Walk through this step by step video & guaranteed you will not be sorry with end result. Sure as hell beats cost of custom exhaust & sounds just as good. Love it. Love it. Love it. ✌🏼😎
@johnnymartinez733 Жыл бұрын
Why didn't you just pull the baffles out? Instead of drilling more holes into them? Just curious fam and btw great looking bike 🔥🤘🏼
@mikkelsimonsen5923 Жыл бұрын
Pulling the baffles out is stage 2, and the bike gets extremely loud compared to this stage 1 "mod" :)

I had debaffled pipes and went back to stock,just too load.
@farooqkhan3729 Жыл бұрын
I feel this isn't really "debaffling", because the baffles are still in there; they were not crushed or extracted. You just put holes on the back plates to make it louder. Real debaffling (where you crush or remove the baffles all-together from the pipe) give a deeper rumble.

I totally agree. I just bought a 900 Vulcan. It took me a long time to find one that was unmolested. It's unreal what some people do to their bikes because they think it's cool. Irreversible damage to very expensive parts.

Ermmmm... Questions arise: - How illegal is this? In Europe, completely. But I'm not familiar with emission and noise regulations in the States. - Is this better than just changing the pipes for some custom ones so you can keep the stock ones to change over in case of having to perform some kind of regulated emission and noise test?

Use a smaller hollow saw, dril the "ring" out, and you will have enough space to wiggle.

Exhaust Sound Recording Notes: 1. Never, ever, ever, record inside (tip, we ride outside) 2. Never put the camera (microphone) close to the exhaust exit (tip, we don't experience exhaust sounds that way naturally). Shortcut: Get outside and have a friend or tripod record while you ride. It's really that simple. Don't be put off by my comments. These mistakes are very common, they just serve no purpose.

I used a Sawzall with 6inch metal blade..2 whole saws and cut a skinny paint brush roller on half to stick in the pipe. Took me about 1hr to complete. My bike sounds amazing now.

1 1/2" to get the OD of the smaller pipe and 2 1/2" to get the ID of the exhaust. Spent a little while wiggling the baffle tubes but the bike sounds 100x better! Thanks for the video!
