My wife is a big Sum 41 fan and I took her to see them with Simple Plan a couple years ago in Denver...to preface, I'm a metal guy...Sum 41 put on a badass show...they were heavy and played their songs as you would expect...great live show...

To anyone wondering if sum41 is really good, just take 2 hours out of anyday and listen to their album ‘screaming bloody murder’ it shows off just how versatile and talented these guys are. And thats when their og guitarist left before coming back. They’ve only gotten better. Most songs will be punk, then transition into a melodic sad vibe, with wembley on piano and vocals. God I seriously love these guys the most out of the 2000’s era punk bands.

They killed it. This is a hard piece of music, intricate parts that require a lot of technique, time signature changes, tempo changes. To have each member of the band play his part so well individually and then the band collectively play it with such precision is impressive. The feel, the energy, the drive, the timing, the tone, everything is there in spades. You can hear that they really listened to the original to capture all the nuances. The lead guitarist nailed James’s and Kirk’s solos and the drummer got all Lars’s fills down pat. You can tell they’re big Metallics fans and playing this for Sum 41 is fun and an homage to Metallica. Incredible musicianship from start to finish.

I was never a SUM 41 fan. No reason other than I was burnt out on that whole pop punk/post Green Day sound fairly quickly. I did see them live around 2004. I don't remember being this impressed with the drummer. He is seriously on point.
