Not everybody should be shooting 700 yards on elk. That’s the problem, everybody thinks they have to shoot long range to be successful. Everybody thinks you need a Mag because their favorite social media shooters thinks so or does so. Be mindful of your caliber’s limitations and hunt with whatever you are comfortable with. Get close and enjoy the hunt. Before anybody says it…..yes, I’ve killed elk with a 6.5 and 7-08. Shoot my bull last year at 40 yards.

Just don't make the mistake of going to a chambering and rifle build without first researching the barrel length to properly burn off the powder needed it for it to be optimal ballistically. People make the mistake of getting say a 6.5 PRC with a 20 inch barrel to "upgrade" a 23 inch factory barrel 6.5 Creed and find that they push the exact same FPS on a bullet of the same weight... minus the barrel life. Thanks for the Video!

Deer hunters only care about deer now adays. They don't care about habitat, they don't understand the ecosystem. They plant some food plots and kill a couple yotes and call themselves conservationists.

Breaking the web of life has always been detrimental to life find ways to aid in producing live food that is abundant enough to keep the populations fed and do controlled hunting to reduce there numbers. Work with nature not against it.

as taxidermist, I continually get frustrated with people who year after year, keep their elk or deer or whatever wrong I try not to get frustrated, but it's easy to do when the easiest part of killing a trophy and the part you have all the time in the world to do gets done wrong. With all the preparation, people take working out new tires bows, broadheads, guns ammo, but no one actually prepares for success on a trophy which is how do I take care of it
