Anton Bauer Gold Mount. Nowadays, most people fall into two camps: Anton Bauer Gold Mount, or the Sony V-Mount. Europe used to be big on the PAGLOK system, but it’s not really used anymore.

Wow, a trip in the way back machine. The humbled beginnings for a lot of us. My first camera was the Sony BVP 7 head w/ the BVV5 back. Betacams were heavy but in terms of form factor they nailed it and todays cameras has been "franken rigging" ever since. I think at least Arri has it somewhat figured out.

Fun project to work on! The Fx9 and Sony G Master primes is such a great combination for small film projects.

I thought I was the only person to have an Ikegami as his first video camera. About 40 years ago I bought a used HL-35 which used a backpack and I connected it to a Sony BVU-100. I later bought an HL-57 (with a Sony BetaCam docked to it) which was much easier to carry. The Ikegamis spoiled me so I'd never settle for a lesser camera. You made a wise choice to buy an Ikegami. Now I'm trying to save up for an HDK-79-series camera.

This kind of broadcast professional camcorder is the forgotten partial inspiration for modern cinema cameras, which are a hybrid of broadcast, cinema and still photography camera design.

Funny, I have a dark grey microphone clamp on my HC-200 which is a light grey body as the camera once slipped off the back seat of my car and the mic holder broke.

Awesome camera. I used to go out with one of these around ten years ago. With the predecessor, the HC-340. It has the best audio amp with a superb control unit Ikegami has ever made. Now I have a HL-65W 14-Bit digital head with a DNR-20 tapeless field pak recorder on the shelf and still a 1/2“ HC-200 which has also a DNR-20 attached in a case. I am still fascinated by the king, the HC-340. It is an awesome piece of tech. As a lens I still prefer the Canon J18x8.5B broadcast telephoto zoom over anything else but the Nikkor TV zooms of the mid nineties are also gems, not to mention the angenieux.

If you're talking about back when you created a place to realise your dreams, why would you even think to mention the number of old tyres(I'm English, correct spelling matters!)which were scattered about the original site? I mean, wouldn't there be at least 17 fresher and more relevant things you could say about that time? Just saying...

The point is to express that it was a terrible neighborhood in 2001, and that we were catalysts for bringing back the beauty of a historical and famous in-town neighborhood in Atlanta’s Old 4th Ward.
