To be honest it was a smart move for Metallica in 1996 when Load came out and debut at #1 on the charts due to the heavy metal climate not being the same anymore and went to alternative music which worked out perfectly for them.

In my opinion Metallica did what they were doing since their biggest selling metal album Metallica, but at the same time Load was a little bit different because their music was placed in alternitive category knowing that the heavy music was not the same anymore and Load debut at #1 on the billboard charts in 1996.

As someone who caught 6 shows on this tour (their best and final tour). I think someone should make a video about how the opening bands got abused or booed off stage. We were the loyalist fans in the world. Everyone 21, everyone male. And there wasn't a band in the world that wouldn't have gotten disrespected. And I saw alot of funny shit.
