That’s some boat handling skill right there. And those signature hand signals! 👍

You didn’t see any skill here? Now I know. Sexism can actually make a guy blind. You make a boat spin like that?? Ain’t gonna happen.

You didn’t see any skill here? Now I know. Sexism can actually make a man blind. Can you spin a boat that heavy that fine? Oh…Right. You didn’t see that part. You were too busy eyeing the skipper.

Hello there! :) I'm going to teach in a school in Fengyuan for a while and am looking for some tips about what to do there in my free time. Hope anyone can help.
@taiwan18958 жыл бұрын
+mastermacki Hope it won't be TLC...Not much to do in Fengyuan itself. The downtown area is small. There is a small street called Miaodong that is filled with food stands (you can see it in the video), but not much else. Most Westerners who live in Fengyuan spend their free time in central Taichung, where there are more clubs, restaurants and stores. There are some hiking trails in the hills above Fengyuan Park. There are also some cycling trails going to Houli and Dongshi which can get very crowded on weekends, but are pretty nice on weekdays. All express trains stop at Fengyuan Station, so it's easy to reach other places in Taiwan.

+taiwan1895 Thanks for the reply and the tipps! What's TLC though?

+mastermacki It's a language school in downtown Fengyuan that is a nightmare to work at. Sounds like you won't be working there, so that's good. Enjoy your time in Taiwan!

Kites are tethered, don't move and don't disappear. Did this object move or disappear? If it moved what was the flight pattern like? Also, did you notice any loss of time during the event?
@taiwan189510 жыл бұрын
This thing didn't move and didn't disappear, suggesting it was tethered and therefore most likely a balloon or a kite. And I didn't notice any loss of time, either - I started watching the object around 20:15 Beijing time in the courtyard of the inn where I was staying, and went to my room around 21:05, and the time on the clock in the room was the same as that on both my watch and my phone. I did feel a strange sensation later in my anal region, however. No doubt caused by alien probes...or perhaps the bowl of spicy noodles I had earlier that evening :-)

@theaesthetics Those ovens are for burning paper money. Chinese/Taiwanese believe that the dead need cash in the next world, and so they burn copious amounts of "ghost" money.

I still can't get over the flashing LED lights. I haven't been in a Roman Catholic church for a long time: Maybe they have a flashing LED crown of thorns on the crucified Jesus. That would be cool :)
