Two questions: 1) In the case where the patient was Class II in CR and Class I in CO, instead of surgery if not an option, would you flatten the posterior teeth to allow a "long centric" movement and then couple the anteriors? The problem I see is the extrusion of the anteriors and eventual interference, but maybe by selectively connecting the anteriors in pairs, or if the patient would wear retainers at night this may be lessened or avoided? 2) In the case where you rob Perter to pay Paul, there is now no cingulum stop. Is there then a longer term risk of eventual eruption and movement of the anteriors due to the incline plane (physics move) contacts?.
