I did not know that there was more than one verse to this song. It is a beautiful melody with wonderful words. I wish more hymnals included this hymn. Very nice voice too.

I’ve never heard this song before, and even though I am 24, going on 25 years old, in a falling apart world of sin- I had always loved the hymns that we treasured in our old lil white church, out in the middle of nowhere, by the pastures and the creeks. This is a new one that I will treasure, and the only one I could find truly close to the one in our lil red hymn books. I was amazed to find a hymn book as a memoir of the old gospel songs of my childhood, and this was one that thanks to you, I have heard this one for the first time ❤ Thank you!
