@@pamdalesio1751 agreed, we have very much made being closer to the elevators a requirement when we choose our room on Wish-class ships now. I will say that since this trip we have found sections of the dream-class that are also hard to navigate with a manual wheelchair so I highly recommend seeking out electric options which definitely made the experience more enjoyable for our whole party..

I didn’t really get why they decided to put him there initially just because I associate him so much with his Disneyland location. Then I saw the movie and it makes sense for him to be near a corridor because of that. I’m sad that they removed the Donald chair for it though. I agree the effect looked really good.

Interestingly enough the accessible rooms on the Dream do have the additional seating but not the larger table. Tbh I think if the coffee table was there it would be significantly harder to navigate the room in a wheelchair. Also the layout of the room we had on the Dream made it a lot easier to have the additional seating.

@@suzievision we’ve stayed on The Dream mostly and can swear that we had a coffee table in our accessible room.

@@suzievision we typically stay in cabin 9170 on The Dream. A very roomy cabin with the extra large Verandah like you had in your cabin.

@@stevecohen7443 ah. We typically choose 5552. Still a large verandah but more square than triangular. Being right next to the elevators made a massive difference to us. Edit: just double checked my footage from September this year. Def no coffee table :)

That particular building does but the alligator bayou buildings don’t. We were originally assigned one of those rooms but had no problem going to the check in desk to get the room reassigned. The mansions (which we were in) have elevators)

When we sailed on the Magic we’d only been on the Dream before. I’d recommend covering how it is to get around (my Dad wasn’t using a wheelchair as much that trip so we weren’t paying as much attention). We loved the restaurants and bars being differently themed. Don’t know if they still do it but they also did a dole whip like slushy drink at one of the pool area bars - very good.

Thanks! The room really was amazing. We def had way more room for the chair and to manoeuvre than on the Magic. I’ve no idea why they designed it like that. Especially when they put so many wheelchair accessible rooms at the end of the corridor. It felt like they almost needed to put an elevator at that end of the ship exclusively for the use of guests with wheelchairs. That corridor had such a negative impact on our cruise. Even if they’d had a hard floor instead of carpet it would have made things easier. Made us glad that our next cruise is on the Dream in a midship room right by the elevator shaft.

Thank you. You need to import the design into an image editor. I personally used Affinity Photo on a Mac (I already had it, costs £47.99 but you can go on their website and get a free trial. Available for Windows also). There is an open source (free) software called GIMP (GNU image manipulation program) that should also do the job (available for Mac and Windows). On an iPad I like using Procreate (approx £10). I am in no way sponsored by any of these companies. They’re just ones I’ve used for similar things and liked. Once you’ve got your software/app. Open a new project and import the original file that you want to customise into it. Create a new layer. Add text in the new layer and manipulate it as desired. Save and print :) Once you’ve done it once, it’s then super easier to update the names etc. Just had to do it myself because of an upcoming Wish sailing! Hope this helps. Have the best time on your cruise! The Wish looks AMAZING and I can’t wait to sail on it myself!

I found that removing the wings made them a little more comfortable for me and they still stayed in fine. Headphone sizing is such a personal thing though. I’d recommend contacting MPOW directly or utilising their customer forum for more tips from fellow users.

I was lucky enough to stay at the Grand Californian for a few days back in ‘07. That hotel is certainly more luxurious than Sequoia Lodge but SL is still very lovely though.
