Let’s talk about a scummy company in the laser industry that you most definitely want to stay away from. - RotoBoss Rotary aka Rotopoop in my humble opinion. On Friday, myself along with many other laser crafters received a letter from Rotoboss’s attorney trying to intimidate us from talking about the amazing Piburn (that was invented first) by quoting poop patents that mean nothing. I’m not an affiliate/ nor work Piburn in any shape and I’m just a normal customer but still got this letter in the mail. I tried facebook, but Jason Blocked me before we can even chat about this very concerning issue. I figured I would post here and also in many other spots in the laser community, since I'm not sure where Jason's eyes are these days and I would like an answer.. I will make a video within 14days if I have no answer, since maybe Jason doesn't know how to read.... So - Jason - Why did I, Jason M. Get this foolish letter in the mail and being bothered over this nonsense? I don't work with them and pay full price for all my products. I'm just a customer. What does this foolish letter have to with me?? You proven that Len's Design came first and the patent proves it as well and in my opinion and over the years watching on facebook. You seem to like to borrow their ideas and you are not very inventive at all. I'm feeling very threatened by having my name brought up and have letters sent to my home? When I'm just a happy customer of the Piburn. Is this an attempt to bully me in someway? I know you have been threating and bulling many members in the laser community recent months including my friend Robin and I think its about time this issue is also addressed by you. Why is a man, a veteran no less. feel the need to attack and bully her? Are you married? does your family know you are a male chauvinist pig? Dude, come on it feels like you are sorta jelly of her and also her succuss and how she loves the piburn more than she loves yours. when u did the circle,,u set sizing to 101 i beleieve n then in warp u put 101 n then 80.would ya now what to change that 80 number to? what was reason to change from 101 on the 2nd # in warp?

@cathyo3294 i am not sure what you mean, when you set the image dimensions and use taper warp it will change the size according to the numbers you put in it.

I was shopping for a rotary attachment for my thunder laser, and I will say Rotoboss made the decision so easy for me. I just saw where RotoBoss got some lawyer to write threatening letters to many people who purchased a lens digital piburn claiming a ridiculous patent infringement. There is no way I would do business with such a devious underhanded company as Rotoboss. So thanks again to Jason, the owner of RotoBoss, for making the decision easy for me. I don’t do videos, but I might have to start making videos promoting piburn just because what Rotoboss has done is so wrong.

I notice that this adapter plate is installed on the opposite end of the rotoboss than the original roller stepper motor. The question I have is whether you can use both. At different times obviously.

@scottcurrence6526 yes it mounts it to the rotoboss so you can use either of them and the rotoboss can offer roller support if needed

Does the “One laser All Versions” choice include the gantry and galvo mounts and all the various necessary connectors?

no, the onelaser is just the extended base for gantry lasers, if you wish to also us it on a Galvo lasers you would just need to buy the galvo mount for it, but would need to make sure the motor and wire is compatible with both machines.

@VegasMadMikey if it runs on a 4 pin plug, you have a 95% of it being the same as setup for the onelaser too

Can’t wait to try a Talon Pro. Do you know which version suits a Galvo laser with 4 pin plug. (BWM CO2 & UV - similar to Hoation Galvo lasers) doesn’t seem to be an option in the drop down menu. Cheers

@NatesToolbox there should be an option for a 4 pin galvo on the site. All 2phase 4pin setups are the same so it really don't matter which you choose.

My question is, what if you're engraving a Stanley 40oz Mug where it tapers in the center on the approx 1" area? Will this distortion work for that? Also how does taper warp work when you're doing an all over seamless pattern image?

@hunterrose5150 it tapes as a whole or in part based on your inputs , it didn't see or know what it is going on so it won't treat that area any different.

Useless video. Anyone can play around with taper warp and guess at parameters. What would've been useful is info on how to set the diameters based on center of pattern or top and bottom of boundaries.

Curious as to how the belt drive has twice the steps/rev. In the pics I’ve seen, the gears look like they are around the same size or very close to a 1:1 ratio. Thank you.

What do you think between the pro and original? Seems like original works well here for the nova. I did notice on your website the pro requires additional hardware for the pro? Is this correct?

@@user-se2xg7tq5u for that laser Talon is more than enough. The pro is more beneficial for Galvo and rf tube lasers.

Looks great...I use jiff with natural particles to clean, with magic eraser. Then stainless steel spray on polish. Microfibre cloths. I engrave near 99per of time at 600dpi....

@@computercreationz it is something else. The power requirements are crazy at 40amp and 15amp for the two units.... I plan to have some fun with it next week.

I like your system! I have a GRIT Automation system that controls all of my blast gates and my dust extractor for all of my woodworking equipment. I might see if I can implement the same system for my lasers.

The 4 jaws grip fine for securely grabbing a concentric circle, but if you grab a slightly elliptical shape the 4 jaws don’t hold so well. 3 equally space jaws work better. Is there a way to modify the 4 jaw setup (ie a jig) to grab an elliptical form without any wobble?

I don’t have any issues with odd shapes as the arms move nd you can use multiple size arms at one time

@rickwhite3112 never had an issue, if you come across something like that you just rotate the cup to more even spot. And if need be you can just use the different size feet to create an offset as needed. Also 4 jaws offer more support and grip for heavier objects and better for glass and softer metals.

The Talon pro offers finer movements, better torque, more steps and improved 4 jaw system.

Sorry i missed this.... The main difference between them is the steps you can achive. the pro will give you double the step capability over the talon. This is mostly helpful with Galvo and RF tube lasers as their beam size is much smaller than a glass tube Laser. it will work great for both but the most benefit is with Galvo and RF tubes.

Any future thoughts on switching to Hiwin Linear rails instead of the Delrin V Wheels? That would be a really nice upgrade and improve overall build quality and minimize ever having to worry about tightening (or replacing) those wheels with long term use.

@TheExtremeElementz no I have not, the cost it takes does not benifit the end user in any way. The wheels we use have never had an issue like other brands have.

@TheExtremeElementz also putting rails on a unit like this would require a bunch of maintenance and upkeep. The bearings would load up with fine grit and need cleaned all the time. They look pretty and all but give no advancement that is worth the cost.
