On that Toyoda reissue deck...what trucks would fit that deck? Is that the newer regular hole pattern? All new trucks will fit it ? Or does that deck take the oldschool hole pattern? I need to buy trucks..not sure what to get 😮😮😮😮...

I had the Series 3 when I was a teenager and loved it. I was talking to my students two years ago about skating and wanted to see if I could find an image of that board. I did and one of my students said, "Man, it looks like you can buy it." I was so stoked and bought it right then and there. Now I'm into the reissues not only finding old boards I had, but also boards I wanted as a teenager.

Man, that looks so good, makes me wish I'd gotten the wider one rather than the squared-off one, but the graphics and grip on both are so good. Super nice details, I love how this wider one looks like an exaggerated 1992 football shape except for the more squared tail. They did a really nice job on the colored plies and wheel wells, would like to see the process of how those are done to be circular in shape like that. I got a set of their moonbeam rails but haven't put them on mine yet, all I've done on it is carve around, no slides on anything. I need to get out and skate, have not been out much this summer and winter is fast approaching here in the North.

I had an identical M. Alba as my first board back in 1986. It had Independents and OJs, with ugly stix, a bird and a tail feather. I was 13 and it was a Christmas present. What a time I had cruising around on that board. Thanks for showing it.

Excellent video, you always seem so chill and it's nice break from all the grief and upset I've recently been through. Yeah a nice run this year but I could only opt for the Witch doc because of funds, I'll have to wait a little while for the Firepit to drop in $. Same here in NZ with the Slashers, I was shocked to find one store still has five of them! White (full price), Dark blue (9.23 x 31.67 - 40% reduced), Red and yellow (full price), Blue (40% reduced) and Decoder (40% reduced)!! 😲 I have the Decoder and white. Trying to get out later in the year for a few sessions before I get too old. Look forward to your next video, take care.

The firepit looks tits with that stain, I prefer that to the blue dip that came out a couple of years ago which I have been riding. The Kendall graphic looks amazing, but I am surprised at how flat the nose is on that one. I never saw it back in the day, but SC is weird with their reissues, some of them have more nose than they originally had (Firepit, for example), and some have a way mellower nose (large-logo Knox/Dressen everslick reissues) than they originally had. That Kendall looks like it has about four "fingers of flat" as Paul Schmitt would say before the nose turns up. That Salba looks great. I am waiting for a Roskopp huge eye reissue, that's his most iconic graphic to me. The 1991 circle-eye one they reissued a year or so ago was really rad. I got one of the Blockhead Phantom Flyer completes last year when they came out, I LOVE the graphics and whole aesthetic on both of those, wish I'd gotten one of the larger Sidewalk Sharks, too-maybe someday. You will love the quality and looks of those boards with the die-cut grip. I got the Clay Pigeons wheels, the whole setup is super fun and feels great to carve around on.

Not saying this is for everybody but if you can ditch the poundage its worth it their is a reason we all started doing this as skinny teen agers. That's such a strong graphic that is looks great in almost any color, I picked one up in the hot-pink dip that was out for a year or two (Christopher Hiett skated a bunch of those and made them look great) because my local shop happened to have it, but if I'd had my druthers I would've preferred this green/blue stain rather than the dip. I probably won't set that one up because I'm not totally into that shape, but we'll see. Your collection is great, you're a man of taste.

Indy Allen hardware with cyan blue modus bearings and cyan blue slimline rails….. I might step down to Indy Ikp stage 11 159 maybeee. I need to grab some blue stage 4 bushings to complete this red and cyan blue thing of beauty. I haven’t ridden it yet lol. I do still race vintage Motocross and all kinds of street bikes so have a little bit of coordination lol. anyway, just want a good comfortable board for sidewalks, lots and streets and seawalls. Total novice, what do you recommend in trucks, wheels, bearings.. for this deck and my type of newbie skating
@UnlawfulAssemblyMFG3 ай бұрын
I think you could go a couple ways honestly. If you wanted something that was loose and had a more "surf" style turn you could put the Indy stage 4 166 on it. Or you could stay with the Indy stage 11, which works great in all phases. Upgrading to a harder bushing is a good idea. I am 6'1 and i float around 210 ...215 so i go through softer bushings really quickly. The harder Indy bushings work really well and they have a great life span. I like the OJ Hot Juice and the Super Juice as far as wheels for cursing. 60mm on a half inch riser would be sick. I love the Indy GPR bearing and mostly maintenance free. What moto do have for your personal rider? I have an 83 Yamaha XS 650. Started out on the PW 50 then DS 80. Haven't ridden any dirt bikes in a while though. Have a ton of fond childhood memories wrenching and riding motos with my pops when i was kid
