When Woodlake Country Club 1st opened , It was the place to be. Immaculate Golf Course , Great Tennis Courts and A Junior Olympic Size Swimming Pool. Awesome Snack Bar Serving Delicious Food. Clubhouse Dining Area , Bar and Food Were THE BEST. I Grew Up There. Did Anything and Everything Through Me Graduating In 1977. During The Texas Open , I Would Go Pick Up Lee Trevino and Bring Him To The Clubhouse. 1st Thing He Did Was Order Breakfast. I Would Then Get Ready and Go Sell Lee Trevino Hats For $5 A Piece. There was also Great Entertainment With Dinner and Show. I Would Help Set Up Sound and Lights For The Show and Then Valet Park. When Show Started , I Ran A Spotlight. I met A Lot Of Stars , ( Singers , Bands and Comedians ) , Between 1972 and 1980. What I'd Give To Be Able To Go Back To That Time Of My Life. WOODLAKE COUNTRY CLUB WAS THE PLACE TO BE IN THE 1970's and 80's.

Though 11 yrs later. Nice video though with no offense intended due to today's sensitive feelings. I always thought it was a hidden historical course in a laid back are South of Downtown, just wondering if this a bit ghetto to you where in the grip it and rip it are you from. Still appreciated your review.

I actually worked at this course for a year. I saw a lot of happen there - not gonna mention specifics. The immediate area is sketchy but it is improving. The course is going under a major renovation now and I’m super excited to see how it turns out. I’ve been back many times and will continue to play Riverside.

Does it feel as thick as it looks in your pocket?
@pauliedigi3 жыл бұрын
It's a pretty small knife overall, so I wouldn't call it thick. I usually carry in my back left pocket and it never bothers me. If you are looking for something with a "slim" profile, there might be better options.
@WolfinWolvesClothing7133 жыл бұрын
@@pauliedigi I got one anyway. Lol. Been carrying a ZT with the tiger stripe blade. Takes up too much of my pocket. Kind of big and intimidating to flip open at work. I think the boost will be a little less obtrusive. Thx.

They widened and shallowed out this bunker in 2010 and again in 2015. It doesn’t make any sense, the bunker was at its best in 1995 and 2000 when they made it practically impossible to escape. It was both deep and very small. Now it’s another ho hum collection bunker

I got a "membership" with the San Antonio city courses - it's called "The Alamo Golf Trail" and includes 8 courses. The one I like the best is Cedar Creek. As you said, much of the fairways are sloped back towards the center - I say it has a bathtub shape. But if you get outside the lips of the bathtub - you are in real trouble. It does take long to play this course. When I first moved to San Antonio in 1992, I used to walk it twice a week. They often allowed 5-somes to play there, but that's not really what makes it take long. Almost every green has at least two tiers. Everybody is lining up two "real" putts per green, instead of one hard putt, then a tap in. I agree with you that #18 has the best view on the course. One of my favorite holes is the double dogleg 5th hole.

It's important to realise that St Andrews is a public golf course. It's not like most Major golf courses where they tailor it to be challenging to the best players in the world. It has to be suitable for all levels of players. That said your single handicapper will still struggle to break 100 on St Andrews. My dad has a handicap of 8 and he went around it in 98.
@gerryuretsky92286 жыл бұрын
Good review, Paul. I agree with your assessment of the course. Not my favorite genre of background music, "Insane in the Brain." Don't you think the course would hugely benefit (increase play and revenues) from GPS on the carts? Even the Alamo City Golf Trail courses now have them.

Does soaking the club in acetone in any way damage the finish on the club? Be it satin chrome, polish chrome or gun metal finishes.
@pauliedigi8 жыл бұрын
I might be worried about the gun metal. The chrome finishes should be ok. The main thing is to avoid any painted areas or plastic or adhesive, like the hosel or some clubhead backings.
