Next joke. Almost the whole of december we have events here. Suriname was/is on CNN's top 10 countries to celebrate old year's day. People from the Netherlands and French-Guiana travel to Suriname just to celebrate it with us. Even Guyanese that know about our events, travel to Suriname for it.

Safety is the main reason why people praise the old year celebraitions in Suriname. People respect eachother and follow the instructions. Everything is well organized. Next to Paramaribo I would put Nickerie.

@@Reza-1223 Well it's become a tradition here, we have been doing it for almost 2 decades now. The Dutch have been doing it with us, and now we see the French traveling to Suriname to celebrate it with us also. And at night, the country just turns into a warzone with fireworks

Good evening, guys. It was great driving and shopping. Is Suriname immigration that strict? Can Arlene not stay there permanently? That's a lot of money each time that she has to travel back and forth. You are a Guyanese, how about sponsorship for Guyanese citizenship and let her stay there with a relative until she can become a Surinamese resident? Its also much easier for you and the children to just cross the Suriname- Guyana River and visit her there in Guyana. I hope that you guys think about the options. Hello Arleen&Greg good to see you again. Well the country is in holiday 🎄season all year round so you don't need more lights LOL! BTW it is not cheap for all the lights to be lit cause the bill will come and many ppl also have to think about food or lights. I hope people are wise with spending cause that is also a problem , ppl want things but don't think about tomorrow when they will have to buy the uniform and things for their kids for school ect ect.
