Angela is the best. So grounded and tells it like it is. So unpretentious in comparison to some of the male chefs who are so up themselves.

Really nice to hear her talking about herself and her concerns in life. Not always obvious to get to know an artist solely from their songs, so I appreciate this interview although I am 7 years late catching it. A lovely woman.

Essentially with the demeaning people (men in this case) by throwing drinks over them as an equivilant to punching them in the face she's talking about esentially the feminised "toxic masculinity" and using the escuse of "it was expected of me because I was there in '76 and it is expected of me by my public" is a lot like a guy saying "I had to but 'im - because that's what blokes do and my mates would look down on me if I didn't ". I don't respect Viv any less or more for what she's said, but I despise everyone here who thinks Viv is so cool, but a bloke doing it is anything but. That's not me advocating for violence. That's me advocating against and calling out female violence and "toxic masculinity" in females. Toxic humanity. Or maybe just humanity if you want to make it gender neutral - but it's been my experience that people who want to call it our rarely want to call it out in a gender neutral way. Casual sexism. The missus was giving me lip, so I slapped her. I told her I'd glass her if she didn't shut up so she shut up. Don't recommend it unless you know what you're doing, but uh, I won that one. Change the nouns and the genders and it's the same narrative. OK for Viv Albertine, domestic or anti female violence for men.

Me too! Ran straight here from the pod ;) Caroline, if you see this, your questions are so great and intentional. I just started moderating panels and I’m definitely taking notes on how to work in questions while keeping it a conversation.

Women out perform men in University, more women graduate than men. Jobs especially tech companies have quotas to hire women etc. Why are 3rd and 4th wave feminists so pathetic. Back during the time of the suffragettes, who were actual feminists stated 'we're badass we can do anything men can do.' Feminists today are 'we're weak and need special dispensations and in order to get those dispensations we have to pretend we are victims. Fucking revolting. Mary Wallstonecraft and John Stuart Mill are turning in their graves, but that's the woke hierarchy of victimhood I suppose. Feminism today has become a trend, they wear the uniform, the goofy explicit eye glasses, coupled with a copy of feminine mystique under there armpit talking about the obscenely important issues like mansplaining and manspreading.
