Ski films all look the same now

Amazing skiing, beautiful cinematography! After all these years, however, Blizzard of Aaaaahs and License To Thrill are still my fave ski movies. Especially Blizzard. It was the sense of narrative those films had that made them so memorable. There have been a lot of great ski movies with ever more spectacular footage, ever more spectacular cinematography. And I enjoy the heck out of them and appreciate all the work and talent it takes to create them. The level of skill in the skiing and film making these days is almost shocking. I would love to see another movie that gave you a sense of bringing you along on an adventure the way those did. I’m not sure what the economic realities are these days, if a movie like that is possible with KZbin tending towards shorter pieces like this. But I’d like to see it.

Where is this? Great ski short. Makes it look like he is really earning those turns. To throw those sick airs and high speed, silky, smooth turns after walking up the mountain is very comedable.

We tried to change the setback regulations from the Yellowstone to 100’ but the land owners, builders and realtors fought to successfully kill it. Buyers unaware of the veracity of a undamned wild and scenic river were going to lose their million dollars homes. Rightfully so, they all sued the sellers, realtors and builders and won big time
