You are a gifted teacher I now will have some fun projects to do with my grandkids. Thank you so much. I purchased a very expensive scoll saw many years ago and never really had the time to use it. I am now retired, so i will try many of the projects you made. I wish you much success on your you tube channel.

Cool lookin box But a slight suggestion: Paint the lid black under the white skull , and make a thinner rim for your inter section, no need to have a lid that deep

Its amazing, ive trained and mastered carpentry , shutting, joiner, house building, brick laying, plastering, plumbing, electrical work, furniture maker, veneerer, cabinet maker, wood turning and anything else to do with making things. Never fancied wood carving or scroll work until an hour ago when i came across your zebra scroll project and fell in love with what you’re doing. Ive got a full joinery shop but not a scroll saw but i think im going down your route, my mind has gone into overdrive with new ideas 😊 thank you
@fishtank505011 күн бұрын
@jimgeelan5949 excellent Jim up to 8 years ago I didn't even know what a scroll saw was I got mine second hand for £35 and it's still going..if you do get one make sure it takes pinless blades mine only takes pinned blades so I have to use adapter clamps, can be a pain sometimes..I started with a dremel, then a router then the scroll saw ..once you start it's addictive so you have been warned ..enjoy . .🤣👌

I really like your content it's so inspiring for a newbie like me. I was wondering though, why do you use the 15 / 20 degree angle bits if you can do the same or similar cutting with the end milling bits? Or am I wrong in thinking that? I am new to using a router, so my apologies if it's a stupid question. I'm just trying to understand the differences in those bits.
@fishtank505018 күн бұрын
@randomness3235 thank you ,it's possible to do a project with just the end milling bits depending on the piece. Because the cnc bits are pointed you can lift the bit from the wood to a point ,however the end milling bits are rounded at the end so you won't get a good point in the wood it will always be round, profile bits,liner bits do the same thing but cost a fortune ,so Because you have gone around the lines with those cnc bits there's less chance of bits breaking away with the end milling bits ..when I first started all I used where straight flush bits to do everything...is just a personal thing and hopefully you will find the bits that work for you..Good luck and enjoy 😉
