As someone who discovered surfing at the age of 30, I found this movie on youtube and watched it daily for more than six months, until I relocated to a place where I can surf daily. It's very difficult to describe the feeling of joy and motivation that this movie brought to me, while dreaming of relocating to the Indian Ocean. Eventually, it brought me there too.

most people who don't really know joy divisions music have only heard of love will tear us apart. These people should broaden their horizons and spend some time appreciating the real joy division from their debut album onwards. They were pioneers and defined their own genre in music history. In my opinion if Joy division never existed band like the Smiths wouldn't have existed either or their music would be totally different.. Ian Curtis, A tortured soul. The brightest flames always burn the quickest.

The movie has such an upbeat vibe through the entire thing, a scumbag's anthem. Disorder playing over the top of it drains all the glee and thrills out of it and shows it as a raunchy and revolting downward spiral... wouldn't have expected to like this combination but it's an interesting pairing.
