Liked the video watched probably 10 timea already. Have you camped on Midnight if so how comfortable is the cabin? Was the ventalation good when anchored? I am looking into buy one this weekend and really excited about the prospect of seeing one up close. Just looks like boat a small family of 3 could spend the wekend on. I would sleep in the cockpit. Which leads to the question can you are did you rig a boom tent? Ok thanks for answering any questions and loved the video.

I think you should Try leaning mast top forward about 1 inch further. It may make it easier to go straight with less weather helm. You will move faster also. When you are moving forward with the tiller pointing to port that much it creates a braking effect. In essence slowing your boat down..

Like the vid, its like one I have on my channel. I have a 17ft Vagabond and love it. I like sailing at night in the summer when the breeze is good. Almost to hot at night without a breeze but if you want to sail summers here in Texas, night is best. 4th of July is the best night to sail and even better is off the coast just east of Galveston TX. Biggest firework show in the world on miles of beach.

There is a store called h-mart here that sells a "cool mist ultrasonic humidifier" for 20 bucks made in korea. I have one on my ammo can stove video. Turns out, it works like an air conditioner / cooler in small spaces like your Midnight's cabin. It will lower the temperature of my tent in the sun by 30 degrees. It runs so low power it barely draws off my 400w solar generator. It uses ultrasonic vibrations to rip apart molecules in water? dunno, but I'll do a video on it. Very cool.

We need to get you some videos of cool mods to the Midnight, maybe a solar generator system or a solar array and electric drive. Maybe a tiny little stove and or mist air conditioner for the cabin. Does it have a bed? I guess that cabin has a hatch, right? I could envision cargo packs mounted on the roof and a solar system powering a laptop with 4g inside, inverter, tiny stove near the hatch, mist A/C on a shelf and some gps gear. What a cool boat.

this is my new muse on bug out vehicles and permaculture. Outfitted with my ammo can stove and some fishing gear, one could subsist for quite an extended stay on the water. It would be a lot safer than hanging around in the city for a road warrior situation to take you down or in the country to farm and hope nothing comes your way. That boat makes tons of sense as a BOV if equipped with solar and supplies. Think you could store or mount a dirtbike rail on it and strap it down tight?

Man if I am ever over your way we should go fishin. I am only like two hours away. That boat is tops, I wanna see it all prepped out for shtf. If it ever came to it, just link your boat up, stash your truck somewhere, hit the lake and go find a nice quiet island and wait it out. I would do this at lake lanier due to the vastness of it and the number of islands. I know of a cove on a big one large enough to conceal a houseboat. There's deer on that island they say.

Yeah i definitely like the midnight as a bug out vehicle. How much cargo will she hold? I would have that thing wired up with solar enough to power an engine, maybe a .30 cal mount over the cabin...saw247 slung from the tail arch with an ammo can down low...hell yeah. That would be one bad little sailboat. Love the vids man, you should prep out that thing and show it off to sootch and the guys

so are you going to keep some of your survival cache aboard the midnight? That would make one hell of a bug out vehicle. I love it, what a cool boat. I see the same solar panel I used for my solar generator, cool deal there. Obviously there's a cooler on board.

Just bought a little trailer sailboat myself. Your video here made me smile. Like the little dance with beer in hand and a lite touch on the tiller. Looking forward to doing some of that here on the Delta waterway East of, but connected to San Francisco Bay in California. Your boat looks really shipshape. Mine is a 30 year old Balboa 21 piece of @#%*. LOL! But was dirt cheap with a good trailer. And she needs some work. But not to much. Thanks for the inspiration!

Great video. Seeing how Midnight handles the wind was a real eye-opener for me. I have a WWP 15 and I knew heavier boats were more stable- but wow! I would have spent all my time trying to keep my boat right side up that day. Thanks for sharing.
