I always thought the armor being a weird jump from mud beast into something strange metallic and futuristic looking was a weird choice, but could all that be a refference to doro dango? The mud becoming a strange, metallic looking futuristic and otherwordly feeling sphere gives off the same jump in attributes. the armor itself is also filled with spheres, kinda a weird amount to the point where it has to be intentional. still cant make the cat ears make a whole lot of sense, i guess its just cause its cute

So interesting. I had never heard about "Dorotabou." (Actually "Dorotabo(u)" is written as 『泥田坊』meaning "mud" "rice field" "man/boy/monk." It was introduced by Toriyama Sekien in 1781, so it is a newer yokai.)

About the "Yotsumi-wadou," I think "yotsumi/四つ身" is from the technical term of Sumo, the close grappling with two RIkishi holding both hands on each other's Mawashi. The characters of "Kappa/河童" in Japanese mean "Child of River." "童" can be read as "warashi/わらし" and "dou/どう," and some think that its old form was "warawa/わらは" to be changed into "wappa/わっぱ." So "Kawa-wappa/かわわっぱ" became "Kappa/かっぱ."

I say malzeno is not a waste Concept and I like his fight. I also do not like ceadeus and zorah magdaros they are truly a waste of they concept. I do think capcom taking the dragon of elder dragon to seriously. But if mean making good and fun fights then I can deal with it especially if they not a waste of time the zorah who took the Developers a year to make and waste of time both in game and out.

I heard something about a remaster of the original movie, if that was the case the collaboration timing would make more sense, but that rumor would need clarification.
@yokaihunter35752 жыл бұрын
Oh wow, I did not hear about a remaster but I would love to see it for sure, the original has a little bit of janky animation but its a pleasure to watch still, thanks for letting me know about the rumor!

@@yokaihunter3575 I'm not sure about that, could just be some other person speculating why now, I can't read Chinese, so one would probably have to go to the Chinese source to see if it was true, maybe it was just a commemorative screening or something along those lines.

Would never expect a gotcha tower defense game to have such a understanding of the myths they base their characters off like even if they just watched the short film its still a impressive amount of references to the original work on what is basically whale bait

@@zomfgroflmao1337 if its ment to attract players into a game that encourages them to pay money then it's whale bait
@richarddavid73782 жыл бұрын
@@diveblock2058 I don't think she is a whale bait because she was obtainable in a simple login event with no new stages, her source material is not that famous among players (especially global players), she is not strong as already stated, and players don't really get any disadvantage if they don't have her. If they need whale bait, it would be the other operators in game that are strong, introduced alongside a big event that gives many materials and new stages, or collaboration with more famous games or media like rainbow six. In short, she was not introduced to attract players as there are more better options and many players that don't use her in base might even forgot her already. I believe the collaboration was done to promote her source material instead or the possible remake of the original movie.

Kirin, one of those monsters that are so weird and hard to classify that the guild just opts to put it into the Elder Dragon class, missed opportunity not to have him in Rise and Sunbreak :^/
@diveblock20582 жыл бұрын
Kirin has always been one of those monsters that just stands out from the giant wyverns and dragons we fight on a daily bases, from my first time fighting one in 4u i always found it so uncanny to see something so recognizable to something in our world (from a far at least) also side note some people are working on a frontier port so you might not need to wait all that long

This is really really good content, keep it up. One thing I want to say is that Khezu has this weird familiarity with the yokai rokurokubi and its extending neck, although, the rokurokubi hides in plain sight whilst Khezu is more of a ceiling hugger. All I am saying is that we need full on cave maps with monsters designed for inhabiting caves, and that Khezu has a weird familiarity with rokurokubi.
