Relm is probably one of the best characters in the game. Highest magic stat with some pretty good relics. Give her the relic that drops MP cost to zero and break the game in half.

This is nit picking, but you should look into weighted averaging. Regardless of how you weight accessibility and usefulness individually, the overall score should not be lower than each of the scores. For example, when you rate 10/10 and 9/10, the overall score should be more like 9.5/10 instead of 8/10

well, you look at the deep of character, but I remeber I first play that game at age 9, as long my english isn´t my native language, I do not understand all back then, so my preference was like "I like how this character looks like on screen" and honestly even if I know there are much more useful character with better ability, I always end up with Celes, Setzer, Sabin and Terra..every single time I play it, this are my characters for final battle at position 1-4, the rest I put at random, cause honestly I never need any of them in final battle, I even don´t know what happen if first group will be wipe out

Strago is soooooo meh. I’d put Locke above him. And yes I only mentioned Locke cause of the badmouthing Locke bit you did. And Stragos story is super meh. Locke had a waaaay better story 😂

Lets be honest here. How often has anyone ever even used Grey spells? Slow, Stop, Sleep, Imp, Etc Etc Etc. considering that most enemies have immunities to them they are almost worthless. It is better to focus on damage and recovery. no one really has time to draw out a battle by an extra turn or so to check if one of these worthless spells work.

Equip Setzer with Genji gloves + Masters scroll + Dice X2 to get 8 attacks that can do up to 9999 dmg each. Dice damage is random so it ignores attack power and enemy defense.

Cyan is the most underrated character in FFVI. If you're playing in active mode, against powerful enemies or bosses, him being the last character to attack, means absolutely nothing at all. You'll see, when fighting bosses, you will probably unleash things like dual magic , ultima, and other long animation techs, like Sabin blitzes, and by the time you have unleashed it all, the highest level bushido skills will be almost filled. Not only this, but he's the one of the few characters that can break the 9999 damage with his own techs and without relying on relics due to Quadra slice. I do agree that his speed is the worst, and his techs are slow, but in the mid to end game, these things simply don't even matter. And let's be honest: most people will always go down bumping magic and unleashing ultimas, bahamut, or Merton paired with flame absorbing gear. He's the most injusticed character in the game. Most of the critics made against him, simply don't make sense if you're playing on active instead of wait mode. But anyways, nice video. My favorite use of fang is against hill gigas, to weaken him while i try to steal atlas armlet. And i like to use oblivion after noise blaster against enemies in the ancient cave and underground castle where you get Odin. Most enemies will instantly die.

A good tier list for a casual player. Locke is my favorite character in this game so I am biased, but I think he has the highest starting speed stat and about the 3rd highest starting evade. Most of my playthroughs, he is the lowest level character when you get to the Espers, (there's only one required combat in his breakout scenario, and the boss is easy to beat low level) which gives him the most stat maxing potential early and that makes up for his low magic or middling strength depending on build. You get Speed + Espers very late, so a high starting stat is very useful if that is important. Stealing can get really good if you know what the good steals are and what's worth farming. Through a lot of the game he can get some kind of equipment upgrade before it can be bought. Even for most casual runs where you are stealing from bosses, you'd end up with a second Atma Weapon and you can get an Illuminator right at the end through stealing, so you don't have to worry about skipping Ragnarok.

Guard leader = marshall. B tier? This is your instant windslash access rage via gau as soon as you get him as a character, since you fight guard leader at the beginning of the game. Gau can 1 man army the entire attack on narshe himself because of this rage. I play this every 3-4 years and tell myself I’m going to speed run then always end up getting sucked into the story and take my time.

Whenever I play Final Fantasy VI, when I go into Kefkas Tower out of the 12 to 14 characters I usually bench 2 of my worst characters ever Gau and Umaro since they are my worst characters. I do use Gau to help Strago learn some lore abilities like Condemned or Pep up but I bench him alot since most of his rages are useless and it takes too long to use leap to learn rage moves which makes him a berserk character. I never use Umaro since he's a berserk character that can't use magic. The best characters I use are Edgar, Sabin, Locke, Terra, Celes, Gogo, Strago, Shadow, Cyan, Mog, I always like using Edgars auto crossbow, bio blaster, noise blaster, flash, drill, chainsaw which I use so much. I also like Strago's lore like Revenge and also Step Mine which are so powerful. I do like Sabin's blitz, I also like Celes Runic absorber, I do use Relm sometimes mostly sketch and control to help Strago learn lore magic spells. Yes while there are people that don't like Cyan, I do like some of Cyans Sword tech abilities especially the first and forth one. As for Setzer, I personally do not like his slot ability and would rather use coin toss. I personally like using Gogo since you can customize your battle menu abilities and use Mimic although you cannot equip Magicites on him he's still my favorite character that I use in the final battle against Kefka.

Ff6 was the first game to make me cry.....the.adult themes, the music, the espers.......cyans dream sequence when playing blind like those weird pre internet days(40 damn im old.....) was such a dark surreal psychonaut journey into his guilt and shame from not saving his family or kingdom

Been watching your streams over a year, saw Chrono 100% live, was sad when you took a break for the new job, was stoked when you came back, yell at the screen when you throw, cheer at 2am when you finally get a good tiers (i'm on the other side of the world) -- you beat yourself up a lot as the poopoo runner but now you're finally the peepee runner, and even though you're the driver, there's lots of us silently sitting here in the car with you every other day. You never know how much you affect other people's lives, just wanted to digitally reach out and pat you on the back to congratulate you on seeing it through to the end.
