Oh my god I remember it was near the end of year 11 in my secondary school & instead of doing revision for our exams me & my mate played WipEout Pure on the school PCs. So we became friends with this guy who knew how to download PlayStation Portable games onto Apple Macs through some PPSSPP emulator & we found out that we could play WipEout Pure in the school during the revision lessons. I remember some guy coming up to us & saying “That’s some BTEC version of Mario Kart.” I’d never been so offended in all my life. Good times though.😂

Pure had the cleanest soundtrack. Fury had the filthiest soundtrack. What are your thoughts?

I disagree. HD/Fury's ost fit the theme pretty well. I listen to it on repeat.

The expansion of Fury has a more aggressive and energetic soundtrack, although a little more repetitive than Wipeout Pure (The HD/Pulse, let's not talk about it... It's simply incredible) it sounds so futuristic and melodic with more changes in the progression of its songs, I love them both equally :)

@@VIPER-63-ux8yc Yes not bad at all, I meant aggressive. 'Filthy' is a term us Brits tend to use occasionally to describe a moody/angrier song. (Like the Fury menu theme music)

Oh my god I remember the first time I ever listened to the original WipE’out” O.S.T with my mate was at lunch In secondary school. We would go to a playground near the school on the swings and just chat while vibing to the classic WipEout O.S.Ts starting with the first one.

It's like inspiration from smart systems or tokyo, anyway most of the things are originals made by me ^_^ the futuristic sounds are what I would take as inspiration from some songs in the game

Remember that Time when we still had hope for a new Game? and then we got hit with that "Never say Never to a new WipEout Game" and now Nothing is happening with the franchise? its kinda Sad how Sony just pushes WipEout into obscurity. it was one of the Games that helped build up Playstation and was revolutionary with its soundtrack to the Point where Big artists Wanted to Work with Videogames instead of just seeing them as childish. it's just so goddamn sad that a Game this important to Sony only gets mentioned offhand somewhere in a corner of one stage in a Game that is meant to commemorate Sony's Legacy (Asro's Playroom). and nowdays if you ask someone about WipEout they will just know the TV show and not the Game that helped Shape playstation.

Just play BallisticNG. There is a massive new update out with new vehicles and a huge number of tracks to play. It's so good and it even has VR support.

Love the artwork used in the video. It actually looks good enough to be from the late 90s, or early 2000s. It looks true to game, without any of the stupid, childish, ugly 'modern' wipeout crap.
