I first saw Runrig in 1982 in a tiny hall at the top of the Aberdeen University Union with maybe 200 people packed shoulder to shoulder! How they grew!

I've been a Corries fan for nearly 50 years. Also I'm English but good music is still good music and the Corries were among the best. All the better live, people forget to list the other thing they could play, an audience.

The nightingale sung by the late LUKE KELLY A BEAUTIFUL SONG I HADN'T HEARD IN OVER 50 YEARS UNTIL YESTERDAY I LIKED IT ALL THOSE YEARS AGO AND I STILL DO

I was lucky enough to see them in concert, twice, at their prime in the mid '70s. The two "Combolins" that Roy built also showed his finger skills as a craftsman of a different ilk. RIP

This song was like a guide to keep the faith all along the Covid confinement. And one of the reasons why, incredibly, I have some good memories of those days. I still can’t believe this voice faded out one year ago. Thanks for your inspiring music, Runrig. Rest in peace Bruce Guthro.

The best rendition of this song was when Hibs beat Rangers in the Scottish cup final im a Rangers supporter from Leith 😬 but on that day I was a honorary Hibee I’ve been spoiled over the years watching Rangers win man trophies so being a Leither & all friends & Family are Hibs I felt it only right this is the 1st time I’ve ever seen the proper lyrics I got goosebumps up my back n neck 😊 I actually the twins years ago when I went to The Citadel youth centre it was quite surreal we got to ask them some questions after they sang for us before it started to get ridiculous with silliness 😂

Learnt A Shiteload of these Boys in early seventies from Dads 8track in The west Highlands. Late seventies. I've left home to work on a boat at sixteen with My first ever serious Girlfriend 😉! Best of Times. But I still didn't remember this? Yet I was word perfect? Understanding was no surprise. But why haven't I seen this before?
