Hi have same Micron pipes system on my 1984 350ypvs, they look great too. Problem is they seem a loose sloppy fitment, quite a bit of side to side movement. Seems too much, is this normal/same with yours

Hi, I removed the whole system as it had been on for years. Cleaned everything including exhaust ports and the channel at the end of the exhaust where it goes over the exh flange. Trial fitted it and bent the brackets at the back, back to were they should have been and made sure it all fitted tightly before i assembled with red silicon and new correct gaskets. I bought stronger springs from Amazon to hold it all tight together (they are shorter and stronger than the originals. They are now pretty solid on the bike.

Premix for me. Don't have to worry about running out of oil or the pump crapping out on you.

Fair enough, and that can be a concern. However, an oil pump set up correctly will do a much better job of metering the correct amount of oil to match the engine RPM. It also helps that I have transparent oil lines...

The oil pumps are very understressed. Very very unlikely to ever fail unless left to rot and then started up 20 years later. Waterpumps, very different story.

Ahhh what a bike. If I don't get to own a 748 in red at some point then I may as well give up liking bikes!

We must both be lucky not living in a city where all people seem to do is shout at each other and complain about bad driving... I've shouted at cows...they dont listen.

Thanks :)) We have the occasional sunny day in uk... Older Ducatis have a spring loaded side stand instead of a kill switch. I've witnessed a gust of wind drop one on the floor before !!! Ouch!
