100% agree that there needs to be transparency on lottery timing. It’s inherently inequitable to assume SE (or any) applicants will be immediately prepared to appropriately apply to the lottery without adequate lead time. It puts lower resource applicants at a disadvantage.

There just reading the slide not really explaining the information like for the lottery how does It work? You apply and is there a box that says your social equity, who is social equity and what’s the general lottery criteria?

Imagine openly discussing keeping a monopoly over production and still claim social equity.

No one asked the public if they want Social Equity and yet it most profoundly affects us.

The process for these meetings should be firmly rooted in and steered by the community. It's important that it doesn't come across as a mechanical exercise, but as an authentic initiative driven by the intent of the legislation and the desires of the community. I also find it essential to express my concern that the licensing process, as it currently stands, seems to display inherent bias by solely focusing on individuals from selected areas. This approach overlooks key community stakeholders such as hemp farmers, whose participation is not supported by this commitee despite the existence of bill 6700. I am curious about how this represents community interests in any way that goes beyond being a bureaucratic function of the government. It seems to be an apparatus primarily designed to give an illusion of fairness and equity, while in actuality, it may not be living up to these ideals.

Hello. Is this true? The American Policy Center writes of Social Equity (Social injustice). Social Justice is described as the right and opportunity of all people "to benefit equally from the resources afforded us by society and the environment." Distribution of wealth. Private property is a social injustice since not everyone can build wealth from it. National sovereignty is a social injustice. Universal health care is a social injustice. All part of a general 21 policy. Your thoughts? Is the American Policy Center correct?

I would just like to say that the way things are currently being set up, there will be not enough marijuana available over the coming years, not too much. The medical marijuana cultivators will have a monopoly for the foreseeable future

Disappointed in this state. Patients deserve better than the lies we’re being told.

We are disgusted that the people who claimed they would represent us are being so careless with our heath and well-being. A medical program that makes the vulnerable even sicker: how dare you. It is appalling how little the legislators in our state listen to us when the opportunity to line their own pockets arises. We know what your corporate overlord’s script sounds like: parroting the lies they’ve tried to sell us will never work. We the people of the Connecticut Medical Cannabis Program are outraged that your debate only took 11 seconds, but seeing the policy that has been floated, we understand. This highlights are why there are so many gaps in what you are trying to do: the language is feckless, ineffective, and allows for big companies to mask their involvement.

Where’s the public comment section huh???? This meeting was a hell of a lot longer than 45 minutes.... What??? Too scared to let people hear how bad you fucking things up? To hear how upset and angry the public is with the decisions being made?? Democracy my ass. SHAME. ON. YOU.

The way the hybrid license was rolled made it seem as if the only people allowed to participate where the already established Medical Dispensary(Large MSOs) who wanted to convert to recreational use. The message needs to be made clearer. some how it got misinterpreted.

YOU ALL SHOULD BE ASHAMED. Rinaldi (sorry if I butchered your name bud) laid out a easy solution for you and not only did it seem like some of you could have given a FUCK ALL not a single one of you cared enough to share your conflict of interests. YOU are the people ruining cannabis, not people growing black market and avoiding your taxes and regulations.

My husband is entering the lottery as a Hartford resident from age 0-29 who was born and raised in a disproportionately impacted area. Unfortunately, with him being 50 years old, every institution that he has reached out to, no longer has records dating back that far. He was able to obtain a letter from Bulkeley High School that lists his addresses and schools he attended, in addition to his high school transcripts. My concern is that these docs alone, will not be enough and his application will be kicked back. He is working on getting affidavits from people he attended these schools with and those people who are familiar with his previous addresses. We spoke to our attorney and he suggested getting in contact with the Social Equity Council. We've been working on this for months without any luck, other than the letter and transcripts. We've called Dept of Social Services, Housing Authority, Social Security Dept, IRS, Hartford Healthcare, DPH for immunization records, and the Board of Ed. All of these were dead ends as they didn't have records past 10 years. I just want to make sure he has a fair shot, with the few documents he has. Would these documents be sufficient? Not sure what else to do at this point.
