This game was a big part of my childhood. Respect for giving it a go and continuing on after dying and dying and dying lmao. It can be tough to get into, but it's a game that definitely requires patience... but once you get there, it's a lot of fun. I would always try to complete the campaign without losing any of my teamates. Would've been better if you played the training mission first to understand the game mechanics, but you can swap your soldier during the mission... so you didnt need to clear a cave with a sniper rifle, or you couldve swapped to your pistol. Shot/thrown grenades, etc.

I could only beat Contra with the 30 lives Konami code. Without that, I think I was able to get to like stage 3 or 4. It was definitely a hard game.
