If you eat at Foodcourt. you can create your own C$10.00 meal. A whole cooked chicken is less than C$10.00 and I doubt you two can finish the whole chicken in a meal.

@@fungadventures costco roasted chicken less than c$ 10.00, it is in Toronto, I am not sure about Vancouver.

Yes, I know costco chicken, sometime we do buy that, and sometimes I do buy the hotdogs, to create a takeaway meal ourself!

@@fungadventures exactly, that is how to make creative 兩餸飯. I use the chicken :一雞三味for 三大人:1: 當天雞翅加雞肶, 2: 隔天雞胸肉做碗仔翅。3剩肉雞架放冰箱,有空,有mood 時用來煑一窩粥底,可加生菜絲,比白粥有味,有營養。

Very good suggestions, we always cant think of the third one, we usually have 2 ideas, but 碗仔翅點煮?

MSP ? 是否student insurance ? C$75.00 per month, that is less than C$1000 a year. It is very reasonable because it includes annual eye check up, glasses, dental check up, cleaning and repair, as well as 80% prescription.... if you do not have student insurance, if you get the above services, you will also easy to pay more than C$1000 out of pocket.
@fungadventures3 ай бұрын
MSP is not student insurance, which does not include the eye and dental related services, it is more on the disease related or emergence service from the hospital.
@dovemc64523 ай бұрын
@@fungadventures so it is like OHIP? That it is a basic charge. OHIP premium is paid by employer and employee. How about student health insurance? How much you pay for the year or term?
@fungadventures3 ай бұрын
I think so, MSP is the BC format of OHIP I guess. I didnt pay for students insurance, but I have bought glasses and went for a dental check before I arrive Canada, so I think it should be fine.

$200 per month for gas , very common expense in Canada, the best is taking skytrain.
@fungadventures3 ай бұрын
Yes, but if only consider gas, driving could be even cheaper than skytrain if it is cross-zone. 5 dollar per day (non cross zone) x 2 person x 20 days = 200 already. Of course this consider the insurance as sunk cost.
@dovemc64523 ай бұрын
@@fungadventures You have not counted the regular car maintenance and minor car repair cost. about C$1200 a year. such as oil change, brake pad change, tire repair, light bulb replacement, and if you like to keep the car for ten years, assume a used car for C$10000, so you need to put another C$100 to C$200 a month aside for car replacement.

Not much you can do in BC Lower Mainland with a poor Skytrain network and third world country road network system. Taking transit? Who wants to wait in the rain? YVR rains 8-9 months in a year. The record from 2007 is 29 day of non-stop rain in Dec 2007.

Medical expenses?
@fungadventures3 ай бұрын
