Trevor, even 11 years later, this video still fulfills its purpose and instills hope in lost souls like me who live in entirely different part of the world. While I was watching, I cursed this system that forced you to talk about what should have been so simple and ordinary, by sniffing, shaking your voice and choking your throat. Because this video is all about love and not to discriminate others. I wish with all my heart that you could be with us and see the way we have come.

Religious zealots will never accept what you say. Their minds are locked that it's against God. Just remember, the most problems are created by RELIGION. ALL WARS were usually started by Religeous beliefs. God created you. HE KNOWS what he created.

I just saw Dear Trevors video now. How sad that life is often taken from those "So Young!" May I ask was Trevor ill or what happened him?? I am Church of Ireland Protestant who are progressive and accepting of Gay and Lesbian ppl, in their congregation, clergy, married gay Clergy. I believe someone with the kindness and love that Trevor had, is most certainly resting in a Beautiful peace. I will pray for him though and for his lovely philosophy and word of it, to be spread to a great many. R.I.P. Fergus Republic of Ireland Europe.

I'm very sorry for your loss. I started watching your son's videos in April 2012 after I happened to stumble across his Coming Out one. He seemed like an awesome person and I'm saddened that I never got to actually meet him. Watching him live and be happy was comforting to me because he helped me come to terms with who I was. He made me feel comfortable to be me, and I'm glad that I can come back and rewatch his videos. I actually thought about him today when I heard Daughters by John Mayer play on the radio. I remember after he sung it I googled the song because I had never heard it before. I'm a John Mayer fan now 😂, anywho, I wanted to let you know that your son had an impact on my life, and I'm thankful to him, and I'm glad that his videos are still available to watch. Thank you so much for raising such an incredible man, he is heavily missed.

Is there not a way to remove the dislikes? Can’t imagine what sort of viewers disliked this. So sorry for the family and our community’s loss. This is honestly one to the top 5 coming out videos. Cudos to the family for leaving the account up. Would it not be an idea to edit/update the account profile though? RIP bright star that you must be Trevor.

I know this message is too late, but I just want to say that even though I live halfway around the world, I watched this video when it was released and Trevor gave me the courage to come out. I came out on Facebook and it got better for me. This video gave me so much hope and strength. I am deeply saddened by the news of Trevor's passing and if his family is reading this I wish you all my condolences. You were cared for by strangers too, Trevor. So, RIP Trevor and thank you.

It wasn't awkward at all. I thought is was calm, soothing, and conversational. I know your heart aches for him every day and no one can provide any words of consolation. Try as best you can to celebrate his life and the love that only a mother and son can share. As a son who lost his mother several years ago, I know just how special that bond is.

It is clear Trevor was an amazing young man. Thank-you for allowing Trevor's legacy to live on. He is helping a lot kids who are stuggling and I know God has blessed his soul! +Stephanie Jones It takes an amazing mother to produce such a wonderful son. Trevor has brought light, courage and happiness into the lives of a great multitude of people, both by his advice and by his example. That won't make you miss him any less, I know, but it needs to be said, because he'll continue to be among us thanks to the bravery and kindness he showed to others, and the help and support that will continue to shine on the rest of us thanks to his videos.

Hey Trevor, nice video. It really hit home when you talked about wondering how things would have been if you had come out sooner. I am 48, & I just came out in February. However, in 1978 it was not as easy to come out as it is today. Have a great life, and always be confident in who you are.
