1:24 Lisa is actually wrong. As Catholics, we believe Jesus is begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father. He is one in the same in His Divinity, as God the Father. While we also know for certain, that Transubstantiation, is the changing of ordinary bread and wine into the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ. This occurs particularly during the Epiclesis, where the priest places his hands over the gifts, followed by the words of consecration ("This is my Body..." "This is the Chalice of my Blood...") Protestants? Not so much...
@storybuff49398 ай бұрын
I think you mix up things. What Protestants called "Consubtation" is that they believe that Christ is spirtually présent in communion. Opposing to catholics who believe the bread become the ACTUAL physical body of Christ

My mom’s dad’s family came to Canada from Northern Ireland in the 1870s. They were Protestant and I always wear green on St. Patrick’s Day, so did my mother and my grandpa. I guess we just thought of ourselves as Irish first and Protestants second, and seen ourselves as British not at all.
