What brand was the dud shell?
@ChasingTheCall2 ай бұрын
I'm not going to name the shell, it was my fault the shells got wet a few days earlier. I had them in a jet sled that had a hole in it that I was unaware of. My shell bag tipped over and the whole bag was soaked. Those shells have since been disposed of. I've never had an issue with their shells until that point.

When it's cold, I like to pair my wading jacket with the Sitka Ambient Jacket. I like the fact that the Delta Wading Jacket is made with Gore-Tex PRO. It's more breathable, more waterproof, and more durable than traditional Gore-Tex.

Great video, Chasing The Call. Looking forward to seeing your next upload from you. I smashed the thumbs up button on your post. Keep up the awesome work! The way you adapted your decoy strategy based on the birds' behavior was impressive. Have you thought about how weather conditions might affect their patterns as the season progresses?

I need to get my animator back out. Switched to pulsators this year and I like them better, but we lost too much water to use them. Even too shallow for a jerk string.
@ChasingTheCall3 ай бұрын
@@MawheeOutdoors I currently have 4 duck agitators and 1 goose, actually charging them right now for Missouri opener. They are killer but in low water levels you can still run that animator which I think is awesome. It was my first time using it and will continue to add it to the spread this year! Between all of that I also bought a perfect limit outdoors designated puller. Water motion is key!

I was so glad I captured that on camera. It was a chaotic morning so I missed a lot of stuff. To me it was cool watching his experience in that situation pay off, lots of intelligence. He’s like ok my feet are planted it’ll pop back up here close I’m just looking. The dog is honestly why I do it. If my pup isn’t there it’s nowhere near as fun for me. Watching our work all summer pay off in the field is what it’s all about. It’s also cool now seeing friends dogs whom I’ve helped in training be successful. I didn’t even pull the trigger on this hunt. A camera, some good buddies and my best bud is all I need. We’ve got some fun stuff planned for this year! As always I appreciate your support and always look forward to your comments!

@@tylerp3053 dude you have no idea. I train with this dog 3-6 times a week, but I never throw him doves. I forgot my whistle in the morning, it was a new thing for him. He was learning. There’s a completely different aspect to dove hunting. They’re smaller birds, don’t put off as much scent and they fly fast which makes it harder for the dog to mark. I share these videos because I share the real experiences dog handlers may see with their dogs. So get off your stupid keyboard and go hunt with your dog. Unlike you I’m not afraid to share the growing pains of a new experience with my dog.
