well i did the same roadtrip to zanzibar, and i would like to share my negative experience only first the tanzania side police at namanga were very rude, they kind of hate kenyans. second have all your documents because there were many police stops, third dar es salaam is not that much safe, somoene stole my sidemirror(i had to replace while there), third its.a lengthy process to ship your car to zanzibar, just leave it at dar and go hire one in zanzibar, zanzibar is a big island, but one day should be enough to go round all major places, also if you get sea sick consider booking vip for the ferry, last thing book hotels and not airbnb( some of the airbnb i slept looked terrible

Have driven through this enroute to migori, quite a couple times. 🤣🤣unlike you i never take care of the suspension bushes. Quite a lovely road, especially early mornings

there are huge rumble bumps erected just before artcafe. going over them at speed would damage your bushes unless you have a 4by4. Id suggest go over them gently using a low road car

Wow this place is nice. WhY? I dont see the famous 5 islands so watamu has more nice beaches. you can actually lounge at the beach. No beach boys harrasing you looks just a place you can chill on a bed on the beach unlike many beach hotels where the lounges or beds are within the hotel and not on the beach because of too many beach boys harrassing you. This place looks like you can sleep on the beach, read a book with no hussles.

enjoyed the video. the mosque is for truckers using the petrol station who want to pray, instead of praying on the side of the road when the time comes.

Awesome i have learnt one or two things great!!!!!. At the escarpment you mentioned you like keeping behind trucks when going down and infront of them when going back why is that?

Karibu. Due to the nature of the road, on one side you have the cliff and on the other its a wall of earth. Whenever a vehicle stalls it wouldn't have anywhere to pull up but stay on the road. Trucks carry tones of goods and are prone to brake failure due to the hilly road. It would be safe to drive behind trucks when going downhill just incase it stalls and brakes fail. so always let them overtake you. When going uphill try to overtake the trucks seeing when their brakes fail they will likely roll backwards and that would be catastrophic for any vehicle behind.
