No to mention new cars if you disconnect the battery you loss a lot of functions some cases you have to take it to the dealership to reprogram fee things and of course the targeting for new vehicles no really the old ones 🤷

I agree with all you said. we have Hobie Sport Mirage kayaks and use them all the time. Ours is the M/24 and is 6 years old. I check the interior and seal on the cartridge each season. Sometimes twice. If not deployed, is it necessary to change out the cartridge? There is no expire date stamped on them. Thanks.

That's a good question. I've never changed mine out but cartridges are cheap and I probably should.

@@SteveSherron Thanks for replying, Steve. I contacted Onyx and their answer was that the 24's cartridge is good indefinitely, as long as the seal and unit is in good condition. Should it need replacing one needs to buy a recharging kit also. The M/24 does not use the pill, which when wet, triggers the unit. Those units must be replaced every two years. Their website has all the models.

I'm ok in those conditions but do keep in mind these are a heavier fabric pant. Might be a little warmer in those conditions but what you get in return is worth it to me. Pants are nearly indestructible.
