The test has majority of questions from Air Brake test rather than general knowledge test.

Hello. I am slightly confused about the written test details for California. Do I need to study the other endorsements for the written exam? I learned that there are lots of them(hazmat,school bus, tanker,multiple trailers, passenger). Should I study them even if I am only getting a license for my trucking? Do I also have to take these exams even if I wont be using some of these endorsements? Thank you.

@@Animeshorts2099 failed it. The questions on here I saw about 5 to 8 of them. The rest were hard and some had to think about it with commonsense. I don't know what is a retarder is used for? Lmao

@@jazminrebullosa9240 Yes. They reduce wear and tear on the breaks, but they also apply braking power to the wheels and reduce the need to apply the breaks to slow the vehicle. That way you don’t need to use your breaks as often. Keep in mind it won’t bring the truck to a stop it’s just a supplement.

I don't know. They came up on the practice test that I saw but I haven't actually seen the real test know for sure.

@Gae Garrido I downloaded an app, I did practice test from 2 different Google websites the test are easy but when I went to the dmv I was 100% sure I was going to pass because I passed all the test on the internet but to my surprise at the dmv I had 4 test to take and what a surprise all the questions were different. I studied different questions on Google and went back and rh same thing happened different questions I wa disappointed but did the best I could I just tried to relax read the questions closed my eyes and imagined myself doing what the question was asking and I passed. 1 test is 50 questions and the other 3 are 20 questions. I wish you the best of luck.
