@@Ignite.media_ i for sure need to get downpipes on mine, or testpipes before mine blow lmao. I'm just scared of them blowing out the back or blocking oxygen from getting thru and fucking up the engine. thanks for the advice

@@samuelalfonsin2360 just bought one myself but havent really done nothing. What is test pipes and do I have to get them installed. Also what exhaust would you reccomend to go with a test pipe and down pipe as i like it loud but dont want no drone hence why was thinking the valved option. but i had a b8.5 a5 before this so if you dont mind was hoping you can clarify what the test pipe and downpipe would do thanks

@@budgetbuild914 I unfortunately sold the del sol earlier this year. It was getting really hard to keep up with without any garage space and the parts being mostly discontinued. I would like to get an integra in the future but we will see what happens.

I would look into ARM as a downpipe option. Their "Catted" downpipe is high flowing, and very daily-able while still giving you the satisfactory sounds we enjoy from these VAG motors.

Hey brother, I have the same exact GTI, now I had my car for about 3 years going on 4. I moved to Georgia about a year ago from Texas. Unfortunately due to not understanding the timing issue, I owed my self an engine. I work so hard bring this car to life and after $8,000 it’s finally finished. This is worth a shot, but I could use someone like you that is knowledgeable about these “German” cars. I hope to meet you one day. And I still have my Texas plates😅

Bought mine for 5.5k at my job with 121k 2011 dsg. 1 year later the only thing that happened was a large vacuum leak which was 700 bucks but so far it’s been great. I have a cat less downpipe and cold air

Hey man I have a mk6 Gti, I babied the thing I was at 78 thousand miles and I was going to do my timing at 80k like recommended from VW but the timing went bad and long story short caused my engine to blow within a two day span. So congrats on the new car, but I would get the timing taken care of as soon as possible. 👍
