what about the carpet? do you sell an upgraded carpet and if you do, do you have a video on how to remove the old one and install the new one? if anyone reading this could you guys leave me a link to a how to remover the toyota tundra 2014-2021 carpet. I have my seats removed already. now i need to remove the carpet.

We don’t sell any of this. We just did the install on the shop truck. If your seats are out you probably need to start taking the trim off of the sill plates/rockers, kick panels, possibly the center console, and b and c Pilar trim.

Hey Gene, I know this video was posted a long time ago but hopefully you will see this and can help me with my question. After the wire harness has been disconnected can I just unscrew the torx screws and have full access behind the panel? Another technician told me that the "plug part" will fall into the door. If those screws are removed does it give full access behild the panel like a standard rubber boot type harness? Much thanks.

@@1bigpea if I remember right that’s how I accessed the dent. Pretty sure you’ll end up with full access. If you’re worried about the end falling in, use tape or a wire to hold it.

You can partially reuse them, by pushing them in with the splint attached to. They will hold, till you buy the new ones. I just changed my bulb and did reuse them.

It is much stronger. Our industry has done studies and it takes approximately 70% more force to move the aluminum.

Is the 12+8 only required for Autel scanners?? Or for all scanners. Can I plug in a cheaper wired scanner just to look at codes?? My main scanner is an Autel but I don't have the 12+8 or Auto Auth. And it didn't even let me view the codes for the CEL

Is the driver seat the hardest or do you have to do this with every seat in the truck? looks like a lot of work for somebody that has no experience in this

It looks intimidating but with some mechanical skill it’s not as scary as ut looks. If memory serves the drivers seat was the most complicated but definitely totally doable. The worst part was actually the headrests on every seat.

Nice repair. I fix a ton of these Tigs and I find that if I start with my Dent Dial I can move a ton of metal quickly and cleanly especially on those bodylines and then go in and finish up with my DoorLords. Cheers

What do you use to treat the drilled hole or just put the plug in?

We rarely if ever drill a hole. If we do, we touch up the hole and coat the inside of the panel with 3M cavity wax and put a butyl rubber seal around the plug.

@@DentRepairNow I recently brought a car and notice a plug. I tried to remove the plug but seems very stuck. Not sure if previous guy treated the hole for rust or not. Is it alright to leave it alone? I’m in GA, no salty road or bad humidity and plug seems very tight where no air or water can get to it.

If you’re in GA I wouldn’t worry too much. Rust isn’t a huge issue for you down there. We are in the northeast and salt and rust a big deal up here.

I would assume that both windows are standard tempered glass and they would likely shatter and not just crack.

Love your video just did my pro with oem new seats that air bag thing does in clip I cut the driver then realized it can be un clipped great video this helped me so much about 3 hours for the driver not bad I re used all the hog rings cause nobody in town has any
