I wonder if this might generate some interesting spatial effects running two in stereo.

In your description, you've mixed the emitters and collectors on the 2N3904 differential pairs.

I can imagine this would have some great percussion possibilities.

@1:23 The voltage at node 14 is not -2V. Since the opamp is in open loop, the voltage at node 14 goes to negative rail of the opamp.

Just as I was looking for a small sequencer to do DFAM-like stuff you come out with this, hell yeah
@johnsmodularjams21233 ай бұрын
Neat idea. Are the sequences quantised? Or do you need a quantiser for each output?
@boogdish3 ай бұрын
No quantizer built into the sequencer. It's all analog.

The thing that I always wish my CGS chime simulator had is test points for each oscillator brought out to jacks so it can be tuned to sound like a Roland high hat.
@Slope1144 ай бұрын
Or at least the ability to solo each oscillator so they can be tuned individually

How does a capacitor change the output of the oscillator from 12 volts to +6 and -6?
@boogdish4 ай бұрын
It's a coupling capacitor. It will re-center the signal around ground because of the resistor to ground that comes after it, taking it from a 0 to +12V signal to a -6V to +6V signal.

I wish you'd play around this much in other videos as well. Always good for the demo to give ideas on what to use it for, preferably multiple setups

i thought the audio quality on this circuit was just crap but ofc it turned out to be my build. I just had another look (after a year) at it and my amp chip was not seated properly. after that the whole thing works beautifully. you gotta get the gain right not to distort but its great. looking on the oscilloscope it looks like the squarewave changes frequency with the pitch of the note which can be nice for modulation

Hi Michael. Another nice module. I was wondering what the VCO you are using in the video is. It says Triple #46 on the panel. I looked on your website but couldn't find it. Thanks Chris.

I don’t see my other comment. I believe it’s the Thomas Henry X-4046 VCO project, if my other link didn’t post just search for it, his website is birthofasynth.

2SK208-O is pretty much the same as 2SK30 as used in the Roland TB-303.

Cool, circuit. Maybe better with microchip mcp6004 rail 2 rail opamps from -5/+5 Volt power rails, since you attenuate.
