Ouvindo em 2024... Que vontade de me esilar em Londres... O dólar bateu hoje, 17/12/2024, a marca histórica de R$ 6,21. Tudo por culpa do Bolsonaro, do Mercado, da internet e dos memes! 😭😭😭😭😭🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I first heard the Beatles when my brother ran down the garden said come quick and see these men on the tv they look like convicts, that was how much they changed everything.

This was my introduction to Ron, flicking through the channels on tv as you do then found this about halfway through. Have been looking for it ever since, BBC haven't repeated it so thanks for posting this.

The Beatles must have thought, "Why are we wasting precious studio time for this?" Ken Dodd, about as funny as a burning orphanage!

They played so "tight" and so great (all those hours in Hamburg made them to be so great) That's why there is no comparison they are the best. Always played so well; it looked like they were never nervous (I imagine they were saying; 'if we could handle the sailors and drunkards in Humburg, we can handle anything') they were ready for America!

Magic. Nick is one of Britain’s finest of the 70s and 80s. Up there with Elvis Costello.

Nick Lowe is a rare example of an artist who has developed his repertoire in such a natural and effortless way that it suits him as he ages. In some ways even for the better.

Could you please make a tutorial of This Song of Sexsmith??
This is The Beatles I much prefer: The fresh-faced, witty, smartly-dressed and upbeat lads from Liverpool who the world fell in love with................... and not the dishevelled, worn-out and cynical group of 1969.

Glad to have stumbled across this little gem….thank you.
Something odd about this clip is the window burn starting at zero (instead of at least one hour), odd......BTW "litcee" (LTC) = linear time code (or longitudinal TC), R = reference. Also BTW, LTC/SMPTE, as far as I know, wasn't at all widely used before the late 60s so it's almost certain that the window burn was inserted much later......
