This video forgots to mention about Salpa-line which Russian forces could never come even close. One of Russian goals was Kymijoki.

Good point but the salpa-line is not very relevant for the battle of Tali-Ihantala, however the salpa-line of defence saw some very hard battles at Nietjärvi, ilomantsi and all around the ladoga part of karelia.

@@ornis1895 Salpa-line was very important mental backbone dor Finnish soldiers. They knew that if they have to retreat once again, they will have a very strong defence line. And if Salpa-line was never built, maybe Soviets would have tried attacking again after Finnish defence victories in Tienhaara, Tali-Ihantala and Vuosalmi. And Salpa-line was never used in WW2. Go to wikipedia page of Salpa-line and look at the map. Salpa-line was not in Ladoga area, not even close.
