What are these very expensive equipment needed for? CIT heists are a huge problem in RSA. Has any of this equipment ever been used to combat such activities. If not, it is not needed.

For the white South Africans complaining about how weak the army is compared from the apartheid one. Answer me this: What are we going to do with a powerful army? Tell me. We are in a very peaceful region with very strong alliances. For example, The Rooivalk costs $40 million each. We have around 11 of them and in the past 27 years only one has been used in active combat and only for a short period.
