Hey!

@DJpartymaker12 күн бұрын
@NDPhotonl12 күн бұрын

@NDPhotonlАй бұрын
Vibration? Check the crankshaft pulley for wobbling. Check all pulleys on the front of the engine, including both tensioners. Are the engine mounts in good shape? They collapse over time. Off course, proper engine oil, spark plugs, coils, HT leads. Also, scan for misfires! For inspiration, check my build thread on MBworld: mbworld.org/forums/c219/844341-nd-photo-nl-s-2005-cls55-build-thread.html

Hiya! Thanks for your message. Thats a weird problem you got there. Could be the switch itself? What is the condition of the battery? @NDPhotonl

Are you worry of the weight distribution as the lift is near maximum lift height? The support on the ramp gets smaller and smaller.
@NDPhotonl2 ай бұрын
I don't, but I cant use the lift at it's maximum height due to the low ceiling in my garage. But you need to be aware that there is still some slack/movement possible whenever the car is on the ramp as it basically sits on rubber blocks which can compress off course. You also need to take into account that the lift goes a bit up, before it goes down, whenever you lower it again (hope that makes sense).

@NDPhotonl2 ай бұрын
I am! But I think the product is more or less identical to other suppliers. If I would buy again, I would probably buy something from a more known brand (like Twin Busch). There are some differences here and there. I would advice a lift that does not need an air supply, the Datona lift needs air for instance. And I am never going back to Jack + jackstands. I invested in a lift after the CLS fell of the jack, which could have ended disastrous for me. Thank you for your question!

How has it been holding up? Are the silicon boots holding up well with no leaks? Side note, what if i trimmed off the mounting bracket on the intercooler instead of grinding the manifold 👀 should therotecally work correct? Thanks for your time and vid! I got the same MTC cooler 🙏
@NDPhotonl3 ай бұрын
Hiya! Thanks for your comment, appreciate it 👌 I sold the car a while ago and the MTC boots are well made. But I noticed that because tolerances are so tight with the bigger intercooler, I needed to push/force them in place, essentially damaging them a bit as the intercooler connections on the engine are quite sharp. In other words, if you take them off regularly, I would recommend buying an extra set of snoot boots. As far as I can remember, you need to trim the manifold, else the intercooler holes wont line up with the engine. Its only a small amount of trimming and isnt detrimental to the structural integrity of the manifold. If you have any more questions, dont hesitate to ask!

1 - I assume this is click bait as you're just suckong hot air into the engine... 2 - unless you have an air diverter on your bonnet that fits around the intercooler, you have next to zero air flow through the intercooler rendering it pretty much useless.
@NDPhotonl3 ай бұрын
Nope, not clickbait. Please follow the link in the description for the data behind it. The Mini Cooper S has a hood scoop direct in front of the intercooler and air intake, in other words there is no shorter path from ambient air > air filter > throttle body and that is the idea behind it. The least restriction.

Note: You must also remove the plastic on the top of the hood or the first 4 rows of that intercooler will not get any air to it. The hood is designed for that smaller intercooler. I removed mine and added a 1"x1 1/2" piece of dense foam rubber to channel the air to the entire intercooler. This also gives you a larger amount of air from the hood scoop as well.
