My daughter makes this Everytime I visit. Delicious we love it. Been using fresh sprouted chickpeas, I sprout them during the week and drive 200miles. It's so good our favorite lunch, we make a big batch so we can bring a healthy lunch/snack to work.

No quinoa generally doesn't need to be soaked before cooking. Simply rinsing under in cold water is enough to remove the bitter coating. Most experts agree that rinsing quinoa is sufficient, and socking is not required for basic cooking.

I make a lot of bean salads in summer & early fall. Add can of kidney & pinto beans. Buy low sodium & rinse well. To get the water out I rinse beans in colander, place clean dish towel in large bowl & add beans while I prepare other veggies. Then just lift the towel from bowl. Beans are nice & dry.

@ you are welcome. I do this with lettuce also. Always spin lettuce, still put towel in salad bowl to get out all moisture.
