I visit this recording several times a year as this WYE VALLEY tune (rendered here as Like A River Glorious) is one of my favorite sacred compositions. It never fails to amaze me how such an exquisite arrangement, flawlessly performed, can flourish adjacent to an audience who, to a person, appears to be so nonplussed. To be sure, some worship traditions are more reserved than others, but this audience doesn't even approach stoicism. It is simultaneously fascinating and frustrating. Can I (at least) get an "Amen"?

Beautiful arrangement and gloriously done! I feel for the ladies on the high parts, they almost never leave the lead line. They handled it well and I absolutely loved the men's harmony. I suspect this group would be a joy to lead, they seemed to respond so well to the slightest prompts. God bless you all and thank you for your dedication.

I grew up in a Swedish Baptist church in Minnesota. This precious song was very familiar to us. It was often sung at funerals, but the message is a reminder of God's care and protection of His children.

Back again! I've listened to various choirs, the reason I think this one is The Best, the acapella blends with each other, no one tries to overpower the others, and you sound better without piano interference. Heavenly!

One of the things I like best about this group is its use of dynamics, including not ever singing fortissimo, Also their incredible blend. Although individual soloists don't have particularly good voices, as a group, they're beautiful!

So very good. I have always loved this hymn though grew weary of the standard tune. This rendering is beautiful and deeply touching. My hope is refreshed to "claim the crown through Christ!" Thank you!

“And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.” Ephesians 4:30. Our sinful bodies are the tempel of the spirit and comforter going out from our Lord and Saviour, until the day we go to Heaven. Indeed, we are never truly alone, if we are saved at all. God Bless!

Refrain: We've come a long way, Lord, a mighty long way. We've come a long way, Lord, a mighty long way. We've borne our burdens in the heat of the day, but we know the Lord has made the way. We've come a long way, Lord, a mighty long way. 1 I've been in the valley and I prayed night and day. I've been in the valley and I prayed night and day. I've been in the valley and I prayed night and day, And I know the Lord has made the way. We've come a long way, a mighty long way. [Refrain] 2 I've had hard trials each and ev'ry day. I've had hard trials each and ev'ry day. I've had hard trials each and ev'ry day, But I know the Lord has made the way. We've come a long way, a mighty long way. [Refrain]

I heard you guys sing this live last weekend and I was overcome with emotion. It felt like a kind of guttural cry of the shared experience of human suffering. More than the words, more than the theological framework- a kind of unwritten sound that only my soul can understand.

Everything is wonderful, but the female soloists voice is so delicate and rich at the same time. Exceptional.
