Late but a tactic i use when escorting is if i get to he door before the survivor and they get hung up or grabbed is to go to the other area and go back. It despawns the zombies and they get room to move usually.

I hope I'm not the only dumbass to let Greg die long after escorting him to the bathroom. He kept saying heres the shortcut to the Plaza and I was like "wtf are you talking about, I don't see a shortcut?" He remaimed in that bathroom for the rest of my playthrough and died on day 3 or something 😅. I didn't use that shortcut for the entire playthrough cuz i never noticed it. I did use the parking garage shortcut tho which helped a lot.

Fun fact:11 year old me actually gave ross the handgun because I was too used to games just telling me to do a, so I do a and didn't use my brain to think about it for 0.5 seconds. Personally, Aaron and I think... Heather.. was the worst for me. Usually, you have to use a bee to save her. Had to use 3 , yes three bees to save her. On top of that, she rushes gladly into a zombie horde, stand still and cry, and gets stuck on flower pots. Aaron... I dont want to speak of. He is hell personified. Edit; Alyssa and her gang up in the gunshop are mvp for me, teamed up with Brainwashing book they absolutely shred.I pick up those 3, then do Pauls mission and finally picking up Susan and Leroy for Tour Guide achievement. Now, place Alyssas team ouside Pauls mission. When mission starts they just deplete Pauls health in seconds. Just deliver the finishing blow and then steal the Machine Gun from one of the boys :D

Why is my bro, Burt all the way in D-tier? He’s one of the most competent survivor in the game. Equip him with a shotgun and he’s borderline unstoppable. Plus he immediately saves you and any other survivors when getting grabbed by zombies without doing any damage unlike Kindell.

When i clicked on this i thought it would separate the annoying crying survivors from the ones who just kinda chilled. After playing through this game the first time i only rescued Greg for the shortcut and left everyone else to die so i wouldn't have to hear them whining in the safe room. Greg doesn't complain and he gives you the best shortcut in the game, he is S tier my friends.

'tardwrangling enough max survivors for the achievement is one of those things I consider as putting hair on your chest for gamers.

I was too young to realise but I finished the game in 2hr 10mins which is impressive

Burt and bill would go way up for me since they are agressive with a shotgun and can protect that horrible early game group with leah, aaron and sophie.

Tanya is S+ (imo) because she only follows Ross and she can wield weapons. She doesn't wander off so she can protect you while carrying Ross. She also doesn't stop to cry for Frank.

Can't you rescue one of the members of the sniper family? I thought if you kill Roger and Jack, Thomas will surrender and you can spare him and take him to the safehouse.

If you need to save multiple survivors at once just tag a location in a store away from zombies and they’ll stay there until you call them, zombies won’t bother them

I’ve been thinking about maybe trying to get the platinum but after looking at this my thoughts may have changed seriously good job for getting all of them hard asf to do that

Joes survivors definatly deserve e tier. If you enter wonderland and dont fight jo all but one of them will die if you waited to fight jo. And if you saved thats it you threw the saint playthrough. They are one of the few that can ruin an entire playthrough.

You get the saint achievement after beating overtime as long as you start it immediatly after and keep izibella and yourself alive.

Any survivor that can't walk when you have other survivors to escort. Like Leah. You have to carry her with Bert and Aaron face the convicts and save Sophie who isn't able to hold a weapon. Crazy hard start to the game.

Some Pinata ideas for the animals you mentioned! Velipsyraptor (Velociraptor - Lipsy Candy) (Desert animal) Sour variant hunts your helpers. Feed them a Banana Split and a Moozipan to chill. Hunts a Cluckles and a Pig for romance. Sour variant resembles Jurassic Park version, Tame variant resembles accurate feathered version. Trigsearatops (Triceratops - Pigs ear) Herbivore, eats a new Prehistoric weed. Dress them up nice and feed them Prickly Pears and tulips for romance (cuz tulips need more utility) Persimophus (Parasaurolophus - Persimmon) Herbivore, wants Pinecones and many many flowers in your garden (since flowers were common during the cretaceous) Feed them Custaceans and five apples for romance (since we have a fossil of a Hadrosaur eating a crab, and they kinda look like horses so apples) Tea rex (T.rex - Tea/Boba Tea) Carnivore, needs to eat Persimophus and Trigsearatops for resident. If you want a sour, it needs to eat two Velipsyraptor for unsouring (cuz Jurassic Park) and fight a Stegourmet (cuz Fantasy) (doesn't matter if it wins there or not) For Romance, it needs to eat a Moozipan and a Bonboon. Stegourmet (Stegosaurus - Gourmet candy) Wants Pinecones and watercrest, because those kinda look old. Eats bananas and Monkey nuts for romance. A lower tier animal than the others, because not everything can be that huge, I'd wager. Chocodocus! Resident hybrid, and also stand-in for Diplodocus. Because you wanted Apatosaurus too and those would otherwise just be pretty similar. Apato Chip (Apatosaurus - Potato chip) Wants a Stegourmet resident and wants to eat a lot of fruit. For romance, you gotta let it destroy a tree and win a fight against a Tea rex. Pteranodum (Pteranodon - DumdumBrand Lollipops) o7 Newtgat is taking another one for the team. And so is Custacean, since they probably ate large shrimp too, like modern fish-eaters. And hell, throw in a Terrapin, they probably ate baby turtles. For romance, they eat a Salamango and a Pengum. Brach's O'Saurus (Brachiosaurus - Brach's) Okay but this animal was just barely kept out of Zoo Tycoon 2 for a reason so I'm not even gonna try to think of a way to make it work 😓 Mammoffee (Mammoth - Toffee) We probably have toffee already, but we have two things named after Marshmallows so whatever. Winter area local, lured by a snowdrop, want to eat Monkey Nuts and Carrots and Turnips and Pumpkins and Mushrooms. Want to eat a Dandelion and a Medicine for romance (because they often get sick in media) and need a certain amount of snow. Smilodrops (Smilodon - London drops) Winter area local, lured by Pepper. Sour, Sour! Smilodrops eats those Armadillo Pinatas and Camarillos, since it lived with both. Before it eats them, it pounces on your Pinatas, freezing them in shock. For romance, they will want a Mammoffee (as a friend, don't worry) and a Ponocky and a Chocstrich (as a food, do worry). Non-sour ones will want to eat a chilli pepper and a Pigxie. They have a rivalry with Roario. Dimetrodots (Dimetrodon - Dots candy) A desert Pinata. Lured by uh, I don't know. They are dated very far back in time, so almost all of their requirements are animals of really old lineages! For resident, they want to eat an Arocknid, a Smorepion, a Whirlm (which is basically bullying), a Sweetle and a Shellybean. For romance, they want to eat a Dragumfly and a Salamango. Styracha (Styracosaurus - Sriracha sauce; named for those pranks where you put hot sauce into a chocolate ball) Styracha is angry, and wants to eat Spicy food. You need to have the Redhott master romancer for them to appear, and well, obviously it will want to eat some of them. It also wants five peppers and two cheeses. For Romance, it wants NO Trigsearatops in the garden, and it wants to eat water crest seed (stand-in for horseradish), three radishes, and two peppers. No notes on the underwater garden Pinatas really, besides the fact that both Plesiosaurs and Trilobites are often depicted as crawling on land (despite them not really being able to irl) and thus potentially working out without the Underwater garden, as well. I decided against making a concept for Edmontosaurus because Parasaurolophus fits the "A Hadrosaur" role too :V But also shoutout on you having a very similar dinosaur roster to Wildlife Park 2's dino expansion lol

Sean’s hostages always make me nervous. The sheer amount of zombies and cultists everywhere makes what should be a quick trip back to the safe room feel like crossing no man’s land. A great example of how chaotic this game can get.

30:16 i mean you do ride in a helicopter to get to the mall. maybe there were other zombies that the helicopter attracted and it took them 3 days to get there? helicopters are pretty loud but this is just a throw in answer if there is no reason there is no reason.

Back when I first played Dead rising Chop till you drop, I gave Ross the gun and I had no idea he would take himself off the senses if you gave him the gun. Ever since, I just kept talking to him.

For Me, the worse in Xbox360 & Wii versions is Tonya & Ross follow by a power gap. In the Wii version, I think the camera function is removed, among many other parts of the game. So, the Gun Shop Standoff makes going back to the vent after meeting those 3 survivors, mandatory. The tutorial couple gave me a massive headache one time. One of them refused to climb the ledge, so I got annoyed and started attacking them.

I just booted up this game again to get zombie genocider and... walking through the plazas at night gave me honest to god, genuine ptsd episode with how damn stressful it was to get 8 survivors through those zombies. I think the WHOLE REASON I cant play a game start to finish anymore is because of that reason alone. 3 whole years ago and its still basically scarred me. Not because i couldnt finish it, i did, but i missed one. So all of that actual traumatizing screaming at my pc and breaking things was for literally nothing.

Its like revisiting your childhood house. It's nostalgic, melancholic, and somewhat haunting...

I feel like it's, in a way, an annoying rescue game. But it's really up to the player. I stay away from everyone and just do the main quest, unless they're not too much work.

I dont know that I'd say the snipers want to defend themselves. They picked a random spot that isn't even a foritfied decision they could reasonably claim and shot at random people. If it was a specific area or shop they made into a safe house to defend, it'd be different but instead they indiscriminately kill anyone in the plaza. Their self defense schtick is just thin justification for psychotic or evil desire to hurt others without consequence. Thomas rightfully points out that Frank is some random dude paying no mind to them and Roger says "we're doing this to survive" without even offering any real explanation. Cletus on the other hand is directly confronted in HIS shop and shoots people who he believes may kill him for what he has. That's true distrust, apprehension when confronted, feeling threatened. Roger is a manipulative and evil man who successfully gaslights his children into believing there is reason and righteousness to mindless murder. Other than that, I LOVE this video and I'm sending it to my friends. This is my fall time favourite game.

Dead Rising was the first and only time I screamed at a TV screen like a crazed sports fan with hundreds of dollars on the line. Those NPCs were purposefully designed to infuriate you, I swear to christ.

Worst survivor was that old woman in the beginning who HAD to save her yappy dog and let the zombies in.

I fell for the Ross trap, first time I was playing DR I was a nieve young lad and didn't think twice of donating to a potential friend.... then he killed himself and I reloaded my game.....
