0-60 7.8 respectable in the 80s probably no police cars at that time catching you. And if you got the turbo may kit pushing 280hp brings the 0-60 down to 5/5.5 sec faster than almost all muscle cars at that time whit big v8 engines

Ford from new with the Capri like the mustang should have installed a ford V8 small block Chevy 5.7 it's been done by Capri fans or fitted a 390 gt mustang engine 2.8 was underpowered for the Capri ...yeah it was fast but the Capri had the potential to be so much more had ford rethinked the power plants

I had the misfortune of owning one in the 80’s. Bloody awful thing and the worst and most uncomfortable car I’ve ever owned. The only good thing that came out of it was to steer me away from Ford cars for the rest of my life.
