Just picked these up in 8x30 for hiking only 4 ounces heavier than my C.2 7x28, edge sharp glass! Great to hear they are comparable to CL companion. No complaints from me with regard to build quality, certainly a step up from the C series.

I have the Trinovid 8x42 and I love it. For me it's the sweetspot when it comes to size, weight and build quality. It feels really solid. I also tried the Noctivid which is significantly more heavy (and expensive:)).

now that you had it for a season or two, would you buy it again? or go with something different?

Thanks for making this vid. Question for you: I definitely don't have the $1000 budget for Leica but I got a sweet discount on the Vortex Razor HD for $600 bucks. Having used both pair of binoculars do you think it's worth getting the razor at $600 or waiting and saving the extra cash for the Leicas??

I have owned both Zeiss Conquest HD 8x42 and Swarovski NL Pure 8x42. Both were sent in on warranty for play in the focuser. It was measured but at least an alpha glass should not suffer from such a problem. I read some mean Leica is superior when it comes to the mechanical quality. I would like to try out Trinovid 8x42 HD.

Should someone buy a Leica trinovid hd 10x42 or Zeiss Conquest HD 10x42 if they only had $1000 to spend? Between those two.

Id like to get my hands on one of Mavens new B7 pocket 10x25's to compare to my Swaro 10x25's
@juliusb7907 ай бұрын
The Swaro considerably better. Edge to edge on the b.7 inferer to Swaro to start. But the b.7 is not bad, nice build and the ability to put the clear objective covers on, big plus for me.

Damn, was thinking they would be Carbon, but the ‘clank’ gave ‘em away…😁

I like the screw on clear glass objective lense covers (40 bucks extra but very worth it!), dont have to worry about lense damage and if anything in my tests they make resolution and brightness better, doesnt affect the the viewing at all really, and very easy to clean. Big binocular performance in a small package. I have the 6,8 and 10 power versions. I think people would be surprised at how good in low light such a light small binocular can be with these. Absolutely precise focus wheel ! Other ajustments are ideally perfect in my view except the eye cups dont lock and can move on you as you are using them. The only thing is the b.3 seems to be not in perfect colmination often ( one finds it hard to get quickly to perfect focus but is going back and forth in focus till finally getting it right). I've seen six and everyone the colimination was not perfect, ranging from what I call barely exceptable to hard to knowtice. I look through binoculars many times a day and small imperfections really stand out to me. Now Nikon for example seems to get it perfect every time. ?

Quality optics for sure. They feel so much better-made than anything else in the category; the build isn’t inferior to the Ultravid and Noctivid series, just different. I love a classic curved-field lens, too; it’s a better viewing experience than flat-field glass.

Are they perfect for stargazing?

A bit curved, ideal for daylight panning but at night I do like flat field glass.

I made loops with cord and then a cobra weave with smaller cord to cinch it down. I saw these for $10/4 and I will DEF try 4 out. Thanks for the video!

I love the build quality of leicas. The armor looks super high quality and stays that way for 20 years. The new rubber zeiis and swaro armor looks so cheap in comparison. That said I think the optics of the zeiss conquest are better than the trinovids slightly. Better brightness, fov, and especially afov. Only think leica gets better is the depth of field and the armor. The conquests are built like a tank too though

I have the Zeiss Conquest HD 8x32 and I really like them! Amazing glass for the price and honestly almost no chromatic aberrations! I've heard that the 32's are best in that regard comparing to the bigger ones.

Backwoods pursuit has the razor HD ahead of the trinovid..... I haven't looked through the trinovid but I have a verrrry hard time believing the razor HD is better... The razor HD isn't even better than the Leupold bx4
@gear_hunter8172 жыл бұрын
I’ve not been blown away by the original razor hd. However these things are very personal with optics. Different eyes see things differently and enjoy certain different qualities in glass. Also things like sponsorships and general relationship with a manufacturer or other things can come into play.

Which one you would recommend 8x42 or 10x42?
@gear_hunter8172 жыл бұрын
They’re both great. It depends if you are prone to shaking or not. 8x42 is always a safe bet.
