Thanks for this video. I'm especially interested in the DeltaHawk engines, so it's cool to hear they're perfecting the final design. Also, I'm very impressed with the looks, price, and performance of the Risen; I just wish they'd offer it in a kit since I don't have $300K+ in my pocket. Or perhaps some entrepreneurial company will offer something very similar in kit form someday? What an amazing view out the Risen's canopy. Anyway, thanks again for this news, and I'm really looking forward to all your upcoming content this week.

Surprised to be first commenter. But pleased to see the Aero-News.

I remember that day vividly. I was a 727 flight engineer at the time at gate 66 at LAX ready to depart for SFO. We had just boarded all PAX and the Capt. delayed the departure to pipe the audio into the cabin of the landing on the Moon. History in the making and shared with all the PAX and crew. PSA mgt. never had an issue with the Capt. for the delay, the PAX loved it!

Zoomer and millennial kids aviation is NOT for you. Your entire generation is ill equipped to handle the disciplinary rigors required for safe operation. To use the term for astronauts in the 1960’s you have the Wrong Stuff. Its not entirely your fault, it is a generational thing. Texting and complaining is not adequate life preparation to solidify a sound basis to be a pilot. The license itself is not enough to keep you alive. Keep your barista job, keep protesting and stay away from aviation.

As a pietenpol builder, there's no way you could build one from zero in 18 months without working on it full time. You're looking at close to 2000 hours (including covering, welding gear and engine rebuild) I have to believe he started with a partially built plane (many give up or die before finishing). Many people take 4-10 years to build the entire thing from scratch.

I’ve seen this power plant at Sun N Fun. It is impressive. If I owned a Part 23 or an experimental aircraft, this would be my engine of choice. Far more superior to what we have had for the last 90 years.

Virgin Galactic, in a short sub orbital flight "science" is great, but already been done. I am for it, but VG is bout adventure tourist flights to edge of space or 55 statue miles not science. Sounds like they are trying a new revenue stream selling flights for science. In the end space needs to be profitable and viable business. At this point space is for nation states and very rich people, likely for a long time to come. NOTE: The Kármán line, an altitude of 100 km (62 mi) above sea level, is conventionally used as the start of outer space in space treaties and for aerospace records keeping. Certain portions of the upper stratosphere and the mesosphere are sometimes referred to as "near space". I think it is cool but science not sure, The air launch, cool. The articulating wing to slow down re-entry, cool. I will never ride on this or Blue Oh.... too expensive. Rather do zero G doing aerobatics in my RV-7.
