OMG. What a Rookie SMH.... If you lose the spring, you can use a ball.poimt pen spring. It's a tiny spring that closes the bolt. You don't need to buy a 1/4" or aka 6mm spring for $15. But I bet a rookie would buy one or (2) for $25.

Bought one a week after the c21 ban was cancelled. Tried to use it for hunting partridge...Not precised enough. But for target shooting at 25 yard... wow. With open sight. Love it. A bit hard to clean but I can live with it. I really enjoy my GSG. So funny that this small 22 was considered an assault weapon by the stupid Liberals... Go after the real criminals Justin!

I love my renegade, but the fact that you have to remove the buffer every time in order to complete a full cleaning drives me crazy. You are right about it staying relatively clean due to the rifle being a straightpull as apose to a semi with a gas system. Still....I feel like they should have went with a more traditional design.

Some issues I had with my GSG 16 with the shorter barrel and the hardline tactical pieces. When trying to remove the top piece of Picatinny rail near the rear sight the screws just kept turning as the brass piece they were into underneath the rail kept turning. I managed to get one screw out, but the other one got stripped and I had to drill it out. So now I can’t even screw the top piece I got from hardline tactical because the screws just keep turning in the brass hole they’re supposed to screw into. I may have to glue it down. If you’re using the HK pushpins be very careful if you push one through the hardline tactical hand guard. It is plastic and a piece can break off when pushing the pin through. Mine did that but it still held in place. There is a very small screw underneath on the bottom as well. I may order another handguard and be careful next time. And with the charging tube from hardline tactical, you cannot screw the flash hider back on. It was basically screwed into the original charging tube, and there was enough threading to hold the flash hider. Not with the hard line tactical one. There’s a set screw underneath, but it’s not catching anything as there’s no threading to hold the barrel on. So you’ll have about 2 to 3 inches of the silver barrel sticking out the end. Not the end of the world, but would’ve been nice to screw the flash hider back onto the barrel.

It's now December 24, 2022 and Bill C-21 is on everyone lips. Even though it looks like our dictator isn't going to get away with all the guns listed in his 11th hour G4 Amendment, I think my WK 180 C will be swept up and banned. This straight pull bolt is about as good as it gets without being a semi auto. It's nice to see that MRA now has incorporated a mechanical bolt catch into the receiver in the MK II version. I am also hoping Kodiak Defense does something similar and keeps the upper and lower the same so that the buffer tube isn't in the way. Thanks for the complete build videos. I appreciate it.

My first 6 months with this firearm was bad. Ftf left and right. Sent it to ATI and they replaced the barrel. Said the chamber got damaged from dry firing. I've never dry fired it. They fixed it all for free. I had great customer service.

ATI is very good customer support. I had some failure to fire issues. They fixed it for free.

Minimum barrel length in on a handgun in Canada is 5 inches ? Bought mines in New Hampshire in 2014 for $289 USD only issue I had was the polymer guide rod warped after 145 rounds and replaced it with a 18 lb. metal one from NDZ Performance. Hadn't had any issues since.

Great rifle, great review, but be carefull, you fail couple times slamming the charging handle. Its not design for that kind of abuse, it will break, its a matter of time. This handle is pot metal. I had to machined one in steel for my friend after he broke it doing this.

I've owned all versions. I had the HK version as well. All are made great. Wish I never sold the early models. Definitely worth the small price.

Enjoyed your video. If I could make 1 suggestion. When you are editing, try to either raise your speaking segment, or lower the shooting part. I set the volume for the video by your voice, but when you were at the range, the volume came blasting through at about 3 time the volume. I was using headphones and it was painful. Other than that, good work.

I bought the new heckler and Koch mp5 .22 lr, and magazines on hk parts are 60+ bucks a pop. Found a store that sold the gsg magazines and asked to see if they would fit my hk 22. Fail

I bought my gsg-16 like two days ago. I didn't do much to it. I just put on a red dot but then I realized that the slide was not closing so I thought it would be easy. Well now I tried clocking it by putting the magazine in but it still didn't close. I have not shot it or anything and it won't let me put the clocking slide back to the lock position btw im new to the whole firearm thing so can you help me out.

Glad to see a Canadian doing gun reviews. That’s why I subscribed. Saw one of these at my Range and spoke with the owner. Cool gun, but one misfeed after another. His frustration was clear as he was experimenting with different ammo to improve this. I’m interested in owning one, but I’m hesitant because of what I saw. Maybe the next generation will correct this issue. Question: Does the Mag actually hold 22 rounds, or is it plugged at 10 in Canada ?
