I'm having a hard time determining if they sound better in person or in their pre-recorded songs... so far in person is winning after this xD

“So, Don’t hold your breath for me, But watching you turn blue would be comforting” I could write an essay on the depth of hurt and hope and fear in that hook and the way it’s helped me clear some very complicated emotions, but his performance here does more than I could ever say anyway .

Sadly BS by audience members like this is why I quit going to rock shows decades ago. Several acts I’d like to see live. But flying beer and dope smoke and horrid behavior.? Nope. I’ll watch tv.

I like listening to Justin talk, because he has a wealth of knowledge about music. Also, I would not expect a band to stand up there and take stuff being thrown at them. I would expect just this.

As a former f*ck up myself I totally understand what he means. I have been clean for 6 years but it wasn't easy. I relapsed more times than I can count before I got this far. The smallest thing can trigger a person to relapse. Its hard enough fighting with your own brain not to pick up again, let alone someone literally putting it in your face.

That should’ve never happened to you, Justin. You are not a pussy. You’re worth more than you think. Drinking really is not good for you and I am so proud of you for sobering up. You are my inspiration.

He is an addict who has been sober for over a decade now... too much to expect not to have drinks around but he didnt like being forced to drink I guess. But even if it was water it cant be nice to suddenly get a glass of water thrown to your face while you are singing/speaking/doing whatever...

People throw shit when you're on stage. I only ever played in a band as a teenager, I'm 47 now but remember people tossing crap at me on stage, we were there playing for my high school. We were trying to play a tune and sing and somebody was trying to pitch at me like I was fucking at bat. Got beaned on the noggin with a drink bottle or whatever. Don't bother coming to the shows if you think we totally suck, because doing shit like THAT just proves that YOU suck even more than we do :)
