I believe your tail travel numbers of 180/160 are too high. Those high travel number signify overly fine resolution, but at the expense of speed. This may cause a laggy tail performance. I believe you want a longer tail servo arm hole to get these travel numbers closer to 90-120/90-120 for a more optimal balance between resolution and speed.
@33forsaken10 күн бұрын
Hey thanks so much for the comment:) I will be on the watch for this !!! I also found it odd but only had the one servo arm for the video 😂 I will double check the Manuel for the heli for sure. 👍

I use the tail servo sub-trim feature on Spirit units. This tail servo sub-trim feature makes setup easier and it does NOT have any detrimental effects.
@johnahamelv13 күн бұрын
I've been using Spirit units since 2016. One thing I would say about the pop-up "bubble" recommendations during setup is that these recommendations are rather tame, and are target more for stability at the expense of agility. The point here is to no judge Spirit flight performance performance based on default and recommended values. You really need to tune the parameters if you want balls-to-the-wall 3D flight performance.

12 yrs later and I'd like to say Thank you. Been about 20 years since I last flew (poorly) an RC helicopter. I could tail in hover but not much else. Electric helis have come a very long way since the little Dragonfly helis back then. I've been doing your drills with my hovering on a sim and picked it up back again. Rusty...but then again I stopped with helis because I sucked and there was no panic button (Auto stabilization or even GPS like drones) like there is now. Sure helps if you use the same TX on your sim that you'll fly with. My sim time has been substantial and my confidence is really growing. I can do circuits, hover inverted and basic aerobatics but as long as the fundamentals are there... that's what counts. Thank you again for your tips Freddy..Know that it's VERY appreciated.

@@microreniassance2929 the selected settings in the beast x will save yes, however your radio settings will not. Hi, thanks for this video, I have a Trex 450 with AR7200BX, I configured it all as per your instructions, but the pitch even though it’s set to 9.5 degrees both positive and negative and very close to zero degrees at centre stick, it seems to be crazy and moving the sticks a couple of notches on the transmitter is making the heli behave very erratically. Do you have any ideas why that would be? E.g. if I move the pitch a tiny bit to positive for the heli to climb, it’s starts to climb extremely fast, if I then move the stick back to where it was instead of the heli going back to a hover, it starts to slam toward the group like I have negative pitch of 9/10 degrees. I have other Trex with mini K-Bar fbl system and it doesn’t behave like this. Any ideas?
@33forsaken2 ай бұрын
@@themachine225 do you maybe have any videos or clips I could reference? Each system does have different feels and settings for each pilot. Also it good to review your head speed settings as well. I would also recommend to revisit each menu and insure it’s all set up for each parameter. The small the Heli the more sparatic they can feel as well, however the AR 7200 feels amazing on all platforms. I would have to say it just needs a little more love in the programming :)
@themachine225Ай бұрын
@@33forsaken hey Freddy, thanks for getting back to me, I have reviewed everything and still getting the same issue. Using parameter menu E I am able to reduce and increase the issue depending on my settings. But essentially what is happening is that the pitch it too slow at responding. So for example, if I am hovering, then I slam the pitch to full Positive, the heli just sits there for about 3 seconds before it start to climb. Once is starts to climb if I then put the stick back to middle it takes another 3 seconds or so for the heli to stop climbing. So there is a delay but it’s only on the pitch, the cyclic and rudder are fine. I think this is a fault in the unit as i bought it second hand. But just wondering if you have any final comments before I looking at buying a new one. Thanks again

@@themachine225 what are your throttle curve settings ? I am wondering ( please forgive me if I am way off ) but is there a chance that you’re not running your motor on a fixed RPM and instead variable points ? Basically is your throttle increasing in speed as your pitch also increases, and slows down when you decrease ? Basically I guess I am asking is if your using your idle up ( fixed RPM) when getting this delayed or spongy feel.
@themachine225Ай бұрын
@@33forsaken thanks for getting back to me, and for your ideas. I was using fixed rpm but I think the issue is the unit itself.
