I think you should go back to veganism. I know you said you didn't feel healthy but you also have to do it properly. I try to keep fit as well. I went vegetarian when I was 11 and then vegan 10 years ago. My feline son, Milo, was also vegan all his life. He was sadly killed but my vet thought it couldn't be done. Milo never had a health issue and he lived to be 12 years old. Especially if you're someone that needs proper protein and you like to keep fit. It's very easy to do now-a-days. It's not like years ago when there was nothing to eat. Now, there are so many options. Something to think about. Muscles looks so beautiful and happy!

To help with your wife's allergies. Try bathing him once a week. It'll cut down on his pet dander and that may be what your wife's allergic to. It's not usually technically the animal that they're allergic to it's the pet dander. Also tell her to take some Benadryl if she's not allergic to Benadryl it will help with the allergic reaction

Be sure to get her fixed. I rescued a feral Siamese that looked just like Muscles. One of the most vocal, intelligent cats I've ever seen. I didn't get my Siamese fixed until this Christmas 2024. At 7 years and 9 months, her uterus had filled with fluid and was on the verge of rupture. I always kept her inside due to living in the city. You'll be doing Muscles a favor by getting her fixed. My 7 year old wasn't playing for 2 years until I had her fixed. Now she's got her old spunky self back. ❤

She's fine without other playmates as long as she gets her playtime and attention from you. Actually it is easier to train her without other cats distracting her. I find they become more destructive with a partner in crime. 😁 I began car training my Siamese at 6 weeks. I just did short drives putting him on the head rest with access to get down on my lap when he became insecure. Once I took him in longer rides I bought disposable litter boxes. They are small so fit in front passenger floor until he became bigger than put it in back seat floor (we always knew EXACTLY when to change the box! 🤧). I seat belted a pet bed in for safe sleeping though as he grew he preferred the back window for a quick warm snooze. He ended up staying at 54 motel/hotels by the time he was 3 yrs old. He had special neck scarfs with faux sunglasses hanging of the scarf s to look good for the drive thru people he flirted with. He would get up in the window like a dog to get chk nuggets or pup cups 😸 Never let people tell you cats are not smart. They can achieve smarts up to a 3(+?) yr old human. He could open door knobs. turn on lights, wore a few sweaters and T-shirts (liking none of them), and steal pepperoni off our pizza. Sadly he got out on one of our trips and drank from a puddle in front of a car repair shop. We caught him pretty soon we thought but a few months later he started having kidney failure. There was anti-freeze in the puddle at the repair shop and it is very destructive to kidneys. It is hard to lose a animal you have bonded to. Watch your baby fuzzball. Even as a adult they have an IQ of a 3yr old child. They might eat or swallow anything...

Take it home and keep it. You may not be a cat person but you will be.

Don’t give the poor baby cat to the shelter it was meant for you to find otherwise you wouldn’t have found it love him give him a warm blanket, warm milk, some meat food of some sort, but most of all give him the love he’ll come around to you. He won’t be so cranky. He’s just really scared right now. Can’t blame him after all luck with the human did to him that had them.
